There is nothing that says you can't clinch after throwing a punch. If it is illegal, than state it as illegal and cite your source. (You can't, because it doesn't exist)

It has never been stated as illegal in the history of boxing. You can clinch after a punch.

Show me in the rule book that specifies how throwing a punch before a clinch makes it any more legal? The excessive holding rule still applies. You are making up rules because you are a stupid sociopath.

There is not a rule you can cite that states it is legal to clinch after throwing a punch.

That means there's no such exception to the excessive clinching rule and it means IT'S ILLEGAL.

Please figure out how to interpret the laws.

Does the rule book state that a right hook is legal? What about a left jab? Do you realize how ridiculous you sound.

Again: There is nothing in the rules that states it is illegal to clinch after throwing a punch.

You are the one arguing that its legal. The burden of proof is on you. Show in the rule book where it states that excessive clinching does not apply when you have thrown a punch and then clinched.

Clinching after you throw a punch seems to be a great and illegal way to avoid counters.

I don't have to argue it is legal. I'm saying it's "not illegal and is not stated as illegal in any rules."

If it's not against the rules in the rulebook.... then what does that make it...... THINK!!! :rofl

Excessive clinching is already illegal. You are arguing that throwing before you clinch somehow makes it legal. The burden of proof is on you.

If I hit you with a punch, then clinch... is that illegal? Really man? HAHAHA

At the same time, I throw a punch, miss... I'm in bad position so I clinch. That's illegal? LOL

Seriously? You can't understand such a basic concept? You say you can clinch after you throw a punch. Clinching rules does not have such an exception. If there's no such exception, it means it's still ILLEGAL whether you threw a punch or not before you clinched.

I can't make it any more clear for you.

and they praise his defense as exceptional. floyd is just too defensive most especially against opponents that hurts him. i would really expect this against pac. james toney's defense is far above floyd's since he is fighting and not purposefully evading. the fans inadvertently are downgrading boxing with calling this skill tbe.

Yes, I can clinch after I throw a punch. Because it's not technically just "holding." I threw a punch and initiated an attack. How can you argue "I am excessively holding," when I am the one who threw a punch? Good luck with that one.

Don't argue with me, argue with the rules. This is what is known as a "grey area." Deal with it.

The good thing is pac is fast enough floid won't be able catch him to hold as much as he did to maidana.

Mayweather has never been deducted a point for holding in his career. That's just a fact pal. But hey, keep making stuff up in your head bro. Delusional fans like you are hilarious to me.

You're so delusional, you think there is some giant conspiracy to protect Mayweather and give him special rules....... Lunacy.
