Honestly, I thought he did too. I think it was a home cooked for Cotto. I think it's fair to say that in NYC, Cotto has a hometown advantage the way Devon '0-3' Alexander has one. Not quite as dramatic but I think you get my drift.

With that said, even though I think he won that fight, he exhibited some uncharastistic fighter behavior. He was doing more complaining in the final stretch than he was landing shots. Cotto looked weak in the fight but Clottey looked weaker. At times he was trying his best to use the rules to get a DQ win. He was interacting with the ref in round 12 more than he was interacting with Cotto. Art Mercante Jr. is a fantanstic ref and NYC is the proving grounds. You're not going to get a free pass to a chmpionship. It went to the judges and they favored Cotto in the late rounds as I did.

Clottey did enough damage to wn but he left a bad impression on the judges and the audience. I don't blame them for scoring Clottey a loser. You DON'T CRY IN THE 12TH ROUND OF A CHAMPIONSHIP FIGHT. You go out there and fight your heart out.

Cotto fought most of the fight with that pretty bad cut agianst an agreesive clottey who actually wasn't gun shy, oddly until the last 2 or 3 rounds or so....So give cotto his credit

So what?, MANY people thought Cotto lost to Clottey. Does that mean that it's illegal to fight Cotto now?

If not Cotto, who else?, Alvarez?
