Notice the all access vid, he was icing his hand in the bucket and told them not to let him fall asleep with his hand in the bucket. Three months is the shortest gap between fights Floyd has had in a LONG time. Will be interesting to see just how much his hands bother him on fight night.

You do have to wonder if his hands will become a issue. The icing is more a taking extra care of his hands. Anyone notice Floyd long time hand wrap man Rafael Garcia hasn't been on All access, or maybe I missed him. I remember Floyd saying he hasn't hurt his hands since he was with Rafael, you think he got fired over the Guerrero match?

floyds been riddled with hand problems since early in his career, he broke his hands and it caused him to self knockdown himself and that was the first knockdown of his career (though his opponent did not even connect a punch) he took a knee

floyds career is boxing and money is no issue he would have the ABSOLUTE BEST people looking after him trying to strengthen his hands but theres only so much you can do when old age and huge amounts of wear and tear go against you

sure floyds had the average ammount of amateur fights and only 44 fights as a pro but you have to factor how much training the guy does, remember that he IS ALWAYS IN THE GYM.. twice a night if not more especially when he is training for an upcoming fight. after 2 or 3 sessions a week my hands are incredibly sore (im also an electrician which id like to think strengthens my hands or maybe it weakens them its hard to tell lol)

He ices his hands because he's been sparring daily at the gym. It's pretty standard stuff when you're sparring against guys on a daily basis, especially when he fights in 10 minute intervals rather than 3 minute rounds.

His hands have caused him issues in several of his fights in the past, but he's still found a way to beat his opponents. Even with Guerrero, it was apparent his right hand was injured by the 8th round (the best round in the fight for Floyd,) but he still cruised to a very easy UD.

May should wear Winnings for the fight, he still hits the bag with them. Does he have a sponsership deal with Grant or something?

Garcia is in the gym and working with Floyd. Floyd is also having hand therapy which is good like he did for the fight as he is going to stop Guerrero.

In the 24/7 and all access episodes you can not see him put any power into his punches. Obviously he is worried about his hands, which could be a reason his ko percentage is low, apart from being scared to throw combinations.

44 wins 26kos @59% ko rate isn't low, then when you consider the quality of opponents he's faced I don't think it's that low. It's not the best and far from feather fisted. Floyd isn't a ko master, he's a safety first type fighter that's happy going the distance rather then taking a risk looking for the ko.
