Mayweather: "I'm Not Fighting to Prove to the Boxing Fans Who the Best Is"

See what I mean when I say you don't even know about Margarito yet support him either because he's Mexican or because your hate for Mayweather goes too far.

Yet again I'm educating you on a fighter you claim you support. Mayweather was set to fight Judah even before he moved to Welterweight, that was the plan for him after Arum couldn't get Hatton for him and openly admitted that it was too early for Cotto at 140, the talks for Judah were going on and successfully came to a deal. Then Mayweather moved up to fight Mitchell as a tune-up whilst Judah had to fight Baldomir(his mandatory for the WBC and tune-up). When Judah lost a date was already SET for these guys to fight after it, they tried to pull out of it but do you even know what Margarito had going at the time?, he was already hooked to fight Maneul Gomez on a failed PPV card. Team Mayweather tried to get Margarito to pull out of that fight and make a fight with them instead but it didn't work out, so they tried to fight Baldomir instead and Baldomir claimed he wanted one fight then he'll be ready, when there were no options Arum decided to let the Judah fight go anyway because it was already heavily hyped at that point and the other available options were none.

About the 8 million to fight Margarito, Mayweather made the EXACT same amount fighting Baldomir for the lineal title and #1 position.

 

This thread is about Mayweather in general, when you avoid twisting and give straight out answers like you miserably failed in previous threads then maybe I will as well.

Even at Welterweight Margarito's accomplishments back when Floyd was active were absolutely nothing, I don't see how I'm comparing anything here. Now that Floyd is RETIRED that you idiots are comparing welterweight records, well DUH of course Margarito's will progress, he's active and NOT retired.

 

Cintron is a big name for Margarito at the time. If Floyd wants to say he is better than Ali he should have cleaned out the division at least. Williams, Margarito, and Cotto would have looked nice on his resume.

 

The win over Baldomir got him the #1 spot the boxing public DEMANDED he gets as he couldn't do so at 140 with Hatton demanding 2 more fights to be ready and who else was there to fight exactly?, if you think beating Margarito represents "cleaning out the division" or an entire "division" then you're a fool.

 

Name any fighter that could clean out 5 different divisions by fighting EVERYONE in each?, that's nearly impossible and you have to be immune to age to do so. Mayweather did more than enough cleaning divisions by cleaning TWO in a row when Margarito is struggling to clean one in a division Mayweather already captured the #1 spot in.

 

more money and less risk and you cant blame him for that. and excuse me for defending his actions... but honestly Floyd doesnt even belong upwards of 140 pounds...

mayweather will always be ridiculed because his last real fight was corrales. that was almost 10 years ago . he never cleaned out two divisions he cleaned out 1 don't forget stevie johnston or casamayor.baldomir was never considersd the best only the ring champ, which means **** since you have no mandatories be real fellas he waqs protected for long enough take off the head gear.
