I think Mayweather likes it just the way it is now. His fans defending him, rather than he defending himself in a ring against Margarito, Cotto, Cintron.

I'm not even going to try to deny it, but why does he have more to lose? Because he built himself up to be so far superior to all the other fighters, that he had his fans believing he couldn't possibly be defeated. In order to protect his investment, he made sure he never would taste defeat by fighting fighters like Baldomir, a journeyman, or Judah, a 5 round fighter who loses everytime he steps up in class, or Gatti, who he himself said was "the most overrated fighter of all time". Just be realistic. Boxing fans appreciate fighters like Mosley, Hoya, and Barrera, who fight everybody there is to fight to prove that they are the best in the world. Mosley would have beat every single fighter Floyd beat. Floyd is a great fighter, but he will forever be criticised for not pushing for the big fights at 147. I think that is justified.

Money is important but he made enough after the Hatton fight. He should have cleaned out the division. Yes, I am happy. Too bad Mayweather still has his 0 though. ;)

Why do you not include Ricky Hatton? oh yeah I forgot.. he doesnt count because hes a "natural 140 lb" who doesnt fight as well at welteriweght.. right? and back when he fought Sharmba he had been stating he wanted to fight Ricky Hatton even at 140 or even Cotto but Cottos management wanted no part of Mayweather at that time :deal

in his second fight with Pac he wasnt finished he wasnt in his prime either but he sure wasnt as shot as Mitchell.

you also forgot that Judah was coming of a loss when Floyd fought him.

and Baldo is a journeyman no more no less.

We can include Ricky Hatton, but that doesn't make his resume look any better considering I thought Collazo beat him at 147. Ricky was good at 140, but a terrible fighter at 147, and that not just evidenced in the Mayweather fight, but also the Collazo fight. Let's count it.

    Ricky Hatton (Struggled with Collazo)
Baldomir (Journeyman with over 10 losses)
Zab Judah (knocked out by Tyzu, lost to Spinks, Baldomir, and loses every outting now)

    Margarito
    Cotto
    Williams
    Mosley

They were the best fighters at 147, all of which Mayweather never fought. He turned down 8 million to fight Margarito, which still can't be explained even now.

your stubborn and you sure do have something against Mayweather. Your completley downplaying his accomplishments.. were you around ESB during Judah Mayweather? People were saying Judah would beat Floyd since he has as much speed and even more power and Floyd has never fought anybody like him bla bla.. ok Baldomir im not going to try but if you were Floyd can you blame him for fighting Baldo the REAL welter champ for as much as he would make fighting Margo? Cmon now the answer is easy..
