i feel like he would still be a force, especially at 130-135. You had guys like Buchanan, Duran, Camacho, jcc, Pryor, and Laguna ravishing the lower weights. Floyd wouldn't have much success at the higher weights, especially against guys like kalambay, and tommy hearns so he wouldn't move past the 140 weight class. I personally think he beats Buchanan and laguna with little to no trouble.

    Talk about it

He absolutely does not beat Buchanan and Laguna with little to no trouble. Same goes for Ortiz and DeJesus. All those guys give Floyd lots of trouble.

Beats everyone other than Napoles and Duran from that era. I think he edges both LMR and Griffith. They'd be tough fights, though. Floyd wouldn't end up beyond welterweight.
I think Mayweather would put on a masterclass against Ismael Laguna.

Buchanan, Ortiz, Laguna and especially Napoles all beat Mayweather.

Can't see Mayweather struggling with Buchanan at all. Beats Laguna too.

For one, if Floyd was fighting in the '60s, Mayweather wouldn't be the Mayweather that you all know. His career would have rotted on the vine if he was. Remember those wonderful fights out Madison Square Garden in the '60s? They were wonderful for a reason. Teddy Brenner was known as a fight fan's matchmaker/promoter. He would put on very competitive fights and every fighter's hope was putting on a good show in the hopes of a televised rematch. With Floyd's boring shoulder-roll style, he simply wouldn't be asked back. Therefore he would have had to have added some real fighting in his makeup to make him a boxoffice star. And who knows how he would have made out. As it was, DeLaHoya showed - until he stopped using it - that Floyd had a real problem with the jab (when Merchant asked him why he stopped using it after winning three straight rounds Oscar says "It wasn't the night for a jab" What a friggin chucklehead). Anyways, what is the first thing that pops into anyone's head about Buchanan or Laguna? Jab and speed. I think that would definitely offset anything Mayweather had at 135. I was very impressed with Floyd at 130 and not too impressed at lightweight. Thought Castillo beat him in their first fight.

Buchanan and laguna hold no stylistic or physical advantage over Floyd. He gives both those guys a caneloesque/marquezesque schooling

Moronic. They both had better jabs than Mayweather for a start. They were also more fleet of foot than Mayweather. The version of Marquez Mayweather schooled was as stiff as cardboard compared to prime Buchanan and Laguna.

    and Napoles beats Maweather easily.

I can't see the guy who struggled with Castillo beating prime Laguna and Buchanan. Both being tougher than Castillo and on another level in terms of boxing ability.
Napoles was on another planet from Floyd.

Laguna could very well put on a masterclass against Mayweather. He would own Mayweather in the centre of the ring. Floyd has never faced a guy who moved and jabbed as good as Laguna. Laguna vs Locche is enough to tell me with confidence Mayweather doesn't put on no masterclass.

WHAT?!?! Dude take off those goddamn black and white tinted shades and look at things without a clear bias. Floyd has a better jab and more variations of the jab than both Buchanan and laguna, he's a better counterpuncher and a much better mover than both those guys, he's a master at preemptive defense(locche didn't have a preemptive defense) and he's one of the best at interrupting his opponents rhythm.

Mayweather and locche have absolutely no similarities at all besides the fact that they have good defense. Floyd is better H2H and P4P than locche. He also used locches signature leaping lead hook way better than locche ever did.
