    No, THAT'S YOUR OPINION. You don't believe it, but me and other posters on this site see it differently. And no, it's no hype having me believe that, it's the skills that Cotto possess.

    Why is it that only his body stays fresher and that others who take breaks don't?

    If it's because he works hard, he should not be held to different standards than other fighters.

    We now know what Oscar was doing when he wasn't in training. Obviously, Floyd takes better care of himself than most, always has throughout his career, and therefore it shows.

    What are you trying to get at?

    :deal

    Indirect, completely unintended acknowledgement of greatness.

    My point is that people are saying Mayweather preserves himself by taking extended periods off with no ring rust, but if any other fighter takes an extended period off and comes back then they have ring rust (winky wright, shane mosley, etc.)

    All fighters will stay fresher longer if they avoid punishment and keep in shape. I don't understand how you can not grasp this concept.

    I honestly believe my 7 year old nephew would understand that it is better to work out and not get hit in the head a lot.

    Nobody is punishing Mayweather by pointing this out.

    Well Mosley, at his age, was already showing inconsistencies. But lots of fighters benefit from layoffs, given that they stay in shape. Floyd is clearly adamant about keeping sharp. The question is about how time wearing on doesn't affect him as much, and the answers lie in the smart choices he makes.

    Most underappreciated athlete of his time.

    Agreed sir, which is why i didn't say "didn't you and many others here"

    Here's one example;

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=364583

    Even Ledderman commented on it during the fight, something about he's winning by running. If Floyd does it it's beautiful boxing. Just saying.

    I think he waited. Those guys are in toughfight which wear guys out. Mayweather is not in tough fights. So he at 35 is like he is 30. And he waits for guys to get banged up.
