Mayweather is a diehard boxing fan

He watches boxing of course, he's trainers watch tapes to study opponents and relays the gameplan too him. You would be a fool to believe they don't study their opponents. I'm sure mayweather focus is on training and executing the gameplan, Roger focus it studying the opponent and coming up with a game plan.

He has always down played other boxers but himself, he don't know anyone but himself. You don't get to his level without knowing boxing and studying the game.

 

I think what he means is he doesn't do hardcore film study. I know his SR. was watching some of RGs old fights.

 

I believe he was at the berto fight, could be wrong but he did say he saw the fight. Floyd never really gives any boxers 1ups, he has always down played any question geared towards another boxer. Do note he says they were a great fighter after he beats them.

truth is i bet he has trained more than most other fighters and studies the sport in detail.

exactly. says he thought the trout / canelo fight was closer than the judges had it, how do you say that w/ out watching a fight. its obvious he scouts his opponents
