    Let me get this straight.

    Ortiz after realizing he's out of his league with Mayweather resorts to using his head throughout the fight. He them intentionally headbutts Floyd, sucker punches him while Cortez is breaking them up. Apologizes. Profusely. The ref signals to resume fighting, and takes his eyes off the fighters. Ortiz is still trying to apologize. Mayweather hits him a legal punch and because Ortiz was defenseless Floyd gets the blame?

    Sometime tells me that if the shoe was on the other foot, the arguments would be very different.

    Incidentally Jack Dempsey did the same to Sharkey and he wasn't considered a disgrace to the sport. Instead he was given a title shot.

    Considering he was using his head throughout the fight the apology was more like damage control to his "good guy" image.

    Exactly! Man I dont understand what happened to real boxing fans. Floyd did the same to Mosley when he wanted to hug and talk after fighting dirty by throwing Floyd into the ropes. Then after Bayless gave Mosley a hard warning, Shane touched golves (as usual, lol) and Floyd said "Keep it clean" to Mosley reponding with "You didn't hear him say break" and then BAM:bbb:bbb, he hit him with a left hook and a straight right, the exact combo he knocked ortiz out with. Mosley just happens to have a solid chin so he didn't go down.

    Actually, the way he finished that fight made it a spectacular, interesting, exciting night for every person in the packed place I watched the fight at, and we are still talking about it almost two days after.

    I was not dissapointed in anything that night other then Ortiz.
