yeah he legitimately outgrew 130, but since then he's moved up for money and bigger fights.
He claimed to move up 140 because the guys at 135 didn't want to fight him and he wanted to fight Tyzu.
Then he moved up to 147 for Judah and 154 for Oscar and later Cotto

he never really grew into those weights. I remember an old quote from Floyd where he said he could have stayed at 135 and milked the title.

He just wants to be comfortable and eat food. He also doesn't like draining himself to make weight. Not lazy at all, one of the hardest workers of the sport if not the hardest.

He's a food lover. Trains like a beast, though.

Yeah he is. I ran into him a few times for his run at 140 and I honestly felt like the bigger guy, though I was only weighing 128 at the time. Size wise I would not have hesitated to fight him ... otherwise, f no.

    This.

Yeah because sitting in a sauna sweating off weight is much harder work than actually staying at a fighting weight year round :nut

No I disagree. Marquez, Pacman, even Bradley now those guys are small welterweights, even small jr welterweights. Matthyesse at 5'6" is also a small fry, with big power of course. Floyd looked huge against Marquez acouple yrs ago when they fought. Now perhaps not so much. Floyd has the perfect height at 5'-8", 5'-9" to compete even up to middleweight. Duran did it, Armstrong did it, why not Floyd?

Maybe weight wise but Mayweathers strength is underrated. He cant be muscled easily and can handle himself with bigger fighters.

    Hes perfect at 147.
