[yt]1Zpth-ic6Uw[/yt] He's not my favourite ever fighter, and I certainly dislike a lot of things about the way he conducts himself out of the ring... But Jesus, he can box. The reel above pretty much says everything.
Outside the ring? Just wondering like what? The only "bad ass flamboyent" persona Ive seen him use outside the ring was on 24/7 when he was promoting a fight.
You've never heard that song before? It's been used in several commercials. No shittier than any other shitty pop song. :conf
A recent panel of 25 boxing experts in Boxing Digest made their picks for a Mayweather - Whitaker fight at a catchweight of 140lbs to bring things more equal. 20 out of 25 picked Pernell. They mostly pointed out his quality of opposition of fighting guys in their primes. They also mentioned that Sweet Pea was slick but he was a southpaw. Floyd has never seen that. Handspeed and footspeed were about equal. Floyd got a slight edge in power. Pernell got a slight edge in defense, Chins are equal. One big edge given to Pernell was also his corner of Lou Duva. Most had it as a split decision for Pernell. I say the outcome is clearly... without a doubt... both men die of boredom as they duck and juke their way around the ring, neither willing to throw a punch... half the crowd blows their brains out and the other half leaves the arena, gets into their Deloreans, and goes to visit Marty and Doc Brown.
Indeed! Complete with soft focus and cheesy smiles. I turned it off half way through. But yeah, he's a pretty good boxer.
Those 3 right hands against Ndou was one of the sickest things I've ever seen a boxer do in the ring.
eeehhhhh, nothing special now if you want to see something really impressive watch the 3 straight lefts miguel cotto landed on zab judah one after another.
Floyd never saw a slick southpaw? What do you call Judah? He's slick, Southpaw, and much faster than Sweat Pea. Also I'd like to note that this video has no highlights of Floyd dismatling Ricky Hatton or De la Hoya, both fights had some pretty good highlights.
