I see PBF as (at base) a slick, defensive counter-puncher. At the lower weights he was more of a boxer-puncher rather than a pure boxer, but he's naturally become less agressive as he's gone up due to decreasing power and facing bigger men. I love how he can change up his style and 'rhythm', though -- it's an overlooked great trait of his.
I thought the song went perfectly with the video and fits Floyd...He should campaign using that song to call out Cotto..."Come and get your love"
Yeah, what's wrong with the song? To be honest, I thought it was a good change from the usual crappy rap. 'OH YEH I BE BUSTIN DOWN DESE PUNKS MOTHA****A IM LIKE 1-2 THEY GO DOWN LIKE A SPRING SPRING HELL YEAH' etc. There's only so much of that I can take. Don't get me wrong -- some rap is good, but the stuff people normally use for boxing highlight reels is utter crap.
Yeah. Rap these days positively sucks. All the best **** happened before 1992. Now, rap is an embarrassment that I won't associate myself with since people like Puff Daddy, 50 Cent, and a million other wannabe's ****ed it up the ass and somehow managed to wreck an important culture. Kool Keith always gets props though. As for the song in the video, I didn't even bother turning the sound on. That was probably a good idea, I'd guess.
roy jones is a superfreak. Who is the piece of **** commentator who said "I wanna fight a WBA number1 contender, I could be a champion". What a ***** way to take credit away from Jones. If you're gonna sy something like that, you say it before the fight. Saying it in hindsight is just LAME.
I don't think "slick puncher" means or even implies that he's a "power puncher". It's describing the kind of punches he is; a slick puncher, meaning he is slick with his punches. It doesn't imply he has massive concussive power; it implies that he's slick with his punches.
