since the person that started the thread ran away somewhere and didnt make it clear what he was talking about..I think he was saying PBF is better Skillwise...well i assume thats what he meant but i dont know i'll wait for him to post his defence

    **** him.

If your going take a position like his and post a controversial statement, your evidence should be laid out in the first post.

    And dont wait too long.

If he wants to be compared to someone why not Robinson or Leonard because they are closer to his weight rather than an heavyweight in Ali.

Mayweather is not BETTER then Ali. To be the best you have to beat guys that are more of a threat then what Floyd has done so far. Ali took on big challenges past his prime and toasted everybody during his prime. Ali had better movement jab, power, combination punching etc etc. Floyd just has better defense and his right hand is a monster(not in pure power but the way he uses it) Floyd can say anything out of his mouth b/c that is what keeps him motivated but we all know................................ HELL NO HE AINT BETTER THEN ALI. Skills wise he can be compared but achievements wise he is not even in the same sentence. You can have all the skills in the world but if you didnt max them out or prove them then you are just that skilled.

Mayweather has better technical boxing skills, but that can be said about a lot of fighters, that doesn't make them all better than Ali.

No, I wasnt trying to give you ****. Only saying that irregardless of his arguement, he did nothing to support it. And as such, we should not give him credibility whatsoever.

And worse, he ran from his own thread. :-(

Again, if your even going to argue his technical superiority, give us evidence.

Mayweather was better technicaly... ok, how?

Good point. Defensively, they're very different. In his prime, Ali was constantly moving, rarely giving his opponents a still target. He also had long arms, and kept a good distance. Whenever someone tried to jab him, he would just tilt his head back slightly and wouldn't get hit. If his opponent got too close, he would crack them or simply hold them. Ali was almost unbeatable in his prime.

Mayweather only had a better defense. He's also probably better in the technical aspect.

But Ali was better as a fighter. His unorthodox style was useful to him and made him a great.
