That just shows you how ridiculous this out of nowhere recent Lennox Lewis talk is.

Lewis' career has nothing on Mayweather's. No competition, unless your argument is that ATG HW's outrank everyone on principle of their division... which is a dumb POV to take.

    Lewis beat EVERYBODY.
    Did Mayweather?

If the topic of this thread was "Is Mayweather a bigger coward then any British fighter in history"

    Then, he gets my vote.

Putting Mayweather above a lot of people's greatest Heavyweight boxer of all time?

    Right, ok...

    Ali only fought at Heavyweight.
Is Mayweather a better boxer then Ali?

Your argument of being a multi-weight division champion doesn't even come into debate here.
Its not like Lewis could have gone down in weight is it?
    Even Ali...

Also for the record Lewis' record of fighting boxers in their prime overshadows Mayweather's career.
Lewis was calling out the best in their primes, Holyfield, Tyson, Bowe.
They all ducked him and threw belts in trashcans to evade a beating.
Mayweather has DUCKED fighters in their prime.
That's not even up for debate.

    Lewis never ducked nobody.
He beat everybody there was to beat.

Lewis was the Heavyweight boxing king of the 90's
    He dominated that era.
And give a beating to the guy would would dominate throughput the 00's as a leaving gift while past his prime.

So, in retrospect, Lewis dominated 2 decades while being retired for most of the 00's

That's a better legacy then Mayweather.

This is a no brainer, clearly Floyd is better but that's not an insult, I mean there may be 30 or so fighters from any country, in the history of the sport, who can say they were better.

That said, the Brittish crowds are better, and the Boxnation announcers are the ****. I wish I could beam my HBO and Showtime through the Boxnation broadcast, love those dudes.

I'll also like to add about this p4p bullcrap people have been using.

The only reason p4p exists today is to give the people in the lower weight classes more legitimacy.

The question of this thread was "Mayweather is better than any brit fighter in HISTORY."
He'd get eaten alive by Lennox Lewis.

Lennox Lewis is in the top 3 BOXERS in history throughout all the weight classes.

He'd beat the smaller guys with ease.
The Ali's and Foreman may beat him a few times, but as far as boxing goes, Mayweather is not a better BOXER then Lennox Lewis.

    P4P he is.
    Overall. He's a midget.

Out those fighters, how many are HoFer's? He fought the 2 that are going to be HoFer's. Williams,Marg and Clottey do what exactlly for his resume? They arent that good when you compare them historically, plus Floyd has beaten guys that are way better than them.

    1. No, Ali is better.

    2. Multi division dominance absolutely factors in. Otherwise you'd think a W over Danny Garcia would do more for Floyd's legacy at WW than a win over Huck at CW would do for his legacy.

    3. Ali is better than Mayweather. Mayweather is better than Lewis. It comes down to having the better wins.

    4. Who the hell did Lewis beat in their prime?

Literally almost no one. Shannon Briggs? Mavrovic? Rahman and McCall were prime when Lewis won but that's simply only because they were coming off wins over Lewis. Please, educate me on this.
