Bit surprised to be hearing what a ‘great’ floyd mayweather is.
    He always has an angle.
The man has hand picked every single opponent, getting them when they were either past their best or when he had all the physical advantages.
Never beat a top opponent in their prime
He’s an on top fighter who has pulled the wool over the publics eyes for years.
Is one of the most safety first boxers in history.
Utilizes a fan un-friendly jab and grab style. Right hand, grab. Left hook grab.
    Yaaawwwwnnnn.
When has he ever gone in as an underdog or even in a 50-50 fight?
    Don’t believe it?

    mayweathers last 7 fights

    Guererro:
25 fights at feather weight, 2 fights at welter
18 months ago beat katsidis for the lightweight title
Verdict: blown up featherweight non-puncher, every single advantage to mayweather
How this fight was sold to the public as areal contest I’ll never know
The fight: one shot at a time from mayweather then hug for dear life.

    Miguel cotto:
Mayweather wanted no part of cotto until:
He had suffered 2 crushing one-sided stoppage defeats to both margarito and pacquiao, the type of beatings which really sap a fighters shelf life.
Verdict: extremely damaged goods, a shadow of his former self
The fight: pretty one sided from mayweather tho he was hit pretty hard and a bit too often by the washed up cotto.

    Victor Ortiz:
Ko’d by maidana at light welter
    Verdict: Never in mayweathers league
The fight: cheap and nasty ending

    Shane mosley
38 years old long past his best is 0-1-3 in his last 3 fights
    Verdict: washed up former champ
The fight: wobbled badly but eventually outworked mosley, usual hit and hold tactics

    Marquez
Good fighter but a natural featherweight, 2 previous losses to pacquiao
Verdict: huge size advantage for mayweather
The fight: too small to make a dent in mayweather, he never had a chance.

    Hatton
    Light welterweight champion
Verdict: solid champion but at weight class below
The fight: looked very uncomfortable in early rounds until natural size and strength took over

    De la hoya
Was 34 years old and had had 4 fights in 4 years going in and had lost 2
Verdict: inactive over the hill former great in the twilight of a great career
The fight very close cat and mouse game, mayweather barely scrapes through on disputed split decision

not the resume of an all time great no matter how you dress it up.
anyone can look good against inferior/old/light opposition.

Ray Charles can see Floyd cherry picks. He'll go down as the man who raised his profile by not giving the public the fights they wanted to see when they wanted to see them.

That said, he does have a handful of really high quality wins and is one of the most skilled fighters I have seen in my 37 years on Earth.

You ***** and complain about these great champions on Mayweather resume. The problem is that Mayweather is so skilled that it is hard to give him credit for beating them easy. I hate to tell you this but anybody that gets in the ring with Mayweather will be a mismatch.

not many of those skills evident agaist guererro, unless youre talking about his single punch potshotting skills, his running skills or his grabbing skills which are superb, but where was his body punching? headmovement? combination punching? inside work? if iw ant to watch jaba nd grab ill watch the olympics

Floyd is an ATG cherry picker. He really makes it an art form.

Sounds like your disrepecting the compeition he has faced more than him

Not to mention of these last 7 fights, he was only bigger than Hatton and JMM (who by the way at the time had only 1 loss to Pac and a draw) ... get your facts right:hi: Robert Guerrero walks around at 160, Floyd 150 and change
