It did hurt him, just not for the reason many tend to believe. Fact.....every lb less that Fatton had to cut towards the end of his camp and leading up till weigh in, only made him stronger. This is not even debatable because it's backed up and proven with scientific empirical data.

The real reason we learned Ricky was at a disadvantage was because Ricky does not have the skill set to compete with the top guys at 147. This is why his drastic cutting of weight, which left him looking sickly towards the end of his career there, just allowed him to take his limited skill set and compete at 140. What he lost from dehydrating further down he gained via whatever strength he had retained. This surely only got harder as he started putting on lbs of fat between fights.

Hatton never had a real chance against Maywether Floyds hometown referee Joe Cortez made sure Hatton had no chane. He refused to let Hatton fight yet let Floyd get away with murder:twisted:

:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Floyd fought Hatton's fight. Just because Cortez didn't let Ricky anally **** Floyd like he did Kostya, doesn't mean he was unfair. Ricky was just out strong manned and beaten with skill. I liked Ricky and we were able to see the best Ricky Hatton we could that night. We just then realized that Ricky need to cut weight and fight at 140 in order to compete.
