Then explain why Dempsey is not higher than Floyd.

It's a tough pill to swallow but I agree. Not betting against him in his prime.

You need to watch some more film then. He's really, REALLY good at what he does and I agree that he's the best fighter in the last 10 years or so, but people tend to lose perspective when they've only been exposed to a small sample of the sport's rich history.

He was a leading fighting of that time frame.

I think Floyd needs the Pacquiao fight to really make it clear. When people look back in 30 years they will forget about how it was after Marquez KO'd Pac, all they will remember was that Floyd beat him and he was supposedly the best competition there was for this era

Pound for Pound nobody beats Mayweather, except maybe, Rocky Marciano.

He's top 15-20 for me at the moment, he is definitely a very special fighter and the best of his generation. The fact that he didn't face Pac tarnishes his legacy though, how the biggest fight in boxing was not made is mind boggling.

Mayweather could end up being rated higher though his career isn't finished and he is still the best fighter on the planet. I think he could even go high as middleweight and be successful. I'd like to see him in with Martinez or Golovkin if he beat them he'd be top 10 for sure.

He's around the 20th place in my books.
Very special fighter, easily the best fighter of the last 20 years.

But he also did take the easy route on different occasions. And it's hurting his legacy. History won't be very kind to Floyd i think, Whenever his name will be mentioned, a list of fighters he didn't faced will be one of the first things that come up. Especially Pac is going to hurt him. That one would ve erased the names of Margie, Zoo, Williams, Martinez, Casa, Freitas and Johnston almost completely. But since he didn't fought him, the list of these fighters will only be remembered more.
