He is overrated. Before anyone accuses me of being a *******, I think Mayweather beats Pacquiao. Also, I'm not hating on Mayweather, I pay to watch his fights. A couple of points I want to make, Mayweather does not throw many combinations, it's all one shot here, one shot there. He is not a power puncher. He is not a very good body puncher either. What makes him good is his speed and defense. However, a lot of the tactics he uses to win fights, beginning with the use of his elbows, are dirty and illegal tactics. Some people call it great defense, I call it being a dirty fighter. A few more points, when throwing the lead right, he immediately goes for the clinch, when throwing the lead left hook, he immediately goes for the clinch. He throws no combos and is not very exciting to watch. When backing away from an attack he will extend both arms to create distance and push his opponent away. There are just a lot of little things he does (some of which are illegal) which I don't particularly like that make him look better than he really is. He is good don't get me wrong but not one of the best or much less the best.

What are you smoking? He doesn't throw combinations because he does not need to. His flush right hands is all he needs to systematically break his opponents down.

Watch Floyd vs Ortiz Round 4, he showcased some beautiful combination punching in the beginning of the round.

Not to mention since 2002, he fights either journeyman guys, old guys, or guys on an obvious decline. Very similar to Pacquaio.

Yes unless you are hurt and need to do it to survive. An elite fighter, much less a guy who says he is the best should not resort to clinching every chance he gets.

Berto(e) isn't outboxing Ortiz. Berto(e) struggled severely to control distance in their first fight.

I agree for the most part but...we can't pretend like he didn't fight Judah, Hatton and Ortiz.
