So in order to be considered a good body puncher you must be able to stop a guy with it? You do realise boxing is more than just power. atsch I guess Ali didn't have a good jab, because he didn't stop guys with it lol
I call it how I see it, if the ref did not see it, it does not mean I can't have my own opinion. The elbow which he has been using for years is hardly ever brought up in his fights by the ref. He mauled Hatton (among many others) with it, and never got warned for it.
Your opinion is every bit as valid as anyone else's here, just as long as you're prepared for the vitriol you may recieve when you make sweeping/bold/outrageous statements. All good in the hood.
OK please just stop now, it's clear your boxing knowledge is limited at best, as cortez warned mayweather several times about using the elbow on hatton.
Every fighter breaks some sort of infractaion when they're in the ring. This is a brutal sport I don't see how you can call a guy overrated because he breaks a minor infraction that he's not even warned for.
He throws a jab to the body effectively. What about hooks, what about power shots to the body at close range, what about uppers? I don't think throwing a jab to the body makes you a good body puncher.
Who's getting the fight and what do you expect to happen I'm saying Money buy tko be funny if its from a body attack.
It's not just pushing guys away with his free hand, or both hands, there are other things like the use of the illegal elbow, the clinching after throwing only one punch, the backtracking. He has done one or more of the things just mentioned in all of the fights I have seen of his.
I'm getting the fight. I expect Mayweather to win by UD simply because Cotto is too easy to hit and as close to being shot without being shot as you can be.
I actually wasn't referring to your post when I used the term "outrageous" I was referring to the kind of posts that will have you on the receiving end of vitriol. I certainly disagree with some of the things you said.Vehemently on some points but not sure yet if I would class them as outrageous.
So now you have to deduct a point if you warn someone. You're going around in circles. If this was a game of football and a player commits a foul, doesn't the ref warn that player several times before he feels he needs to issue a yellow card? So how is mayweather not being warned? He is warned in nearly all his fights, which proves your original point of him not being warned to be a flat out LIE.:deal
