when has he not been in 100% shape?

  2. He looks painfully slow and sluggish. We'll see.

i never understood the mitt work system
when i trained i tried to get full extension and power with my mitts.
then at times i tried to do speed and precision.

it seems he is going at a lazy pace and roger is working harder than him on the mitts.

Honestly, I thought he looked underwhelming against Hatton. I was more impressed by his physical form when he fought De La Hoya, Marquez, and Mosley.

He's obviously working his reflexes and hand-eye coordination on the mitts.

It works for him, may not work for everyone.

Floyd's mitt work is training timing, reflexes, and hand-eye coordination. His mitt work isn't for punching at all; kind of counter-intuitive

2 people already gave u answers, but I'll elaborate some more. If you notice during the mitt work, Roger will hit Floyd in a certain area and he'll come back with a series of punches. That's the point of it and why they do it nonstop for so long.
It ingrains the muscle memory so while in a fight, he gets hit on his elbow, he comes up with an uppercut.
He sees a jab, he pulls back and comes with a right hand

    Dude you nailed it.

  11. His arm movement, it looked forced. We'll see on fight night though.

Exactly more reflexes positioning and headmovement than arm extensions
