Past his prime?? Because he didn't "run" like people say he does. He's tired he did Dancing with the Stars...trained for the fight...fought Delahoya earlier this year....

Floyd needs to take two years off to let his body heal by then Cotto will be undisputed welterweight champ and hopefully still undefeated

He'll be back to take that from Cotto and make his legacy that much sweeter!!

    OH MY LORD!!!!!!

Are you acting the roll of "idiot" or are you a closet dlh/hatton fan? Seriously, i dont know if you were watching the same fight i was watching but if he was so "slow" i dont think hatton's head would have been popped back with every STRAIGHT RIGHT or JAB. You dont land a WHOPPING 62% with straight rights and hooks etc if your not precise, fast, accurate. And mayweather didnt have to dance around this fight because 1) 6 inch reach advantage 2) Ricky charged in every time. So the marvelous dancing we are accustomed to seeing was not on display that night. Oh yea, and not to mention floyd DID say he wanted to show everyone a great fight and we were going to see something different. Last but not least HIS CORNER told him "you dont have to run away from this mf". Did you not hear any of that or see any of that? Watch the fight again PLEASE:-( .

Hatton's body is shot. Same happened to Bowe, except Hatton is far worse for his abuse of it.

Floyd isnt as quick as he once was or as fast. But that doesnt mean he's past his prime. Jordan wasnt as quick at 30 as he was at 24 but he damn sure was in the prime of his career. Same with Mayweather. Its not just speed and natural ability that makes a fighter, if that were true Judah would be P4P king, its ring smarts, ring generalship combined with ability, and I think Floyd is much better at exploiting an opponent then he was 5 years ago. This floyd vs 2002 Castillo would have won that fight with little doubt.

I agree. Floyd has past his best in his career and his skills have started to erode (though slowly). However, he's still the best fighter out there. Just goes to show how much better he was than everyone else 2 or 3 years ago. Also, I think his decline is slow enough that he could continue to fight for another 2 or 3 years without getting beaten even if he continues to fight only top level opponents.
