Well, the referee had his part of responsibility as he did not let Ricky fight his usual fight. Hatton was not able to do his infighting because of the ref. It was clear to everyone that Hatton's only chance would be to maul and outhustle the better boxer Mayweather on the inside. Although, Mayweather was not penalised for the constant use of his ellbow. That ref was a disgrace. Hatton deserves a rematch.

Besides there are many other challenges, Mayweather did not face.

    It is not.

The thread basically states that Mayweather is not an ATG but only a HOF. This is also supported by some objectiv and valid points.

  3. I think you'll do very well to argue that case successfully, especially James Toney.

Well, many people disagree with you as the ref did intend an awful job that night.

Besides, your mail is a meaningless insult and contains no added value which probably shows how damned limited you are.

Technically, saying something is "bull****" isn't an insult. I personally find it difficult to find the energy to respond to bull****, espcially when you blatantly ignore the Tszyu fight, where Hatton got away with murder. Its just an excuse; "the ref was rubbish, and thats one of the main reasons why Hatton lost". Hatton lost because he wasn't good enough. He was soundly beaten by the better man. Saying the referee was to blame isn't doing Hatton any favours and just sounds like fan boy bull****, that is a little bit ironic considering all the crap Hatton is notorious for getting away with.

Well, to me Hatton did not get a fair fight that night. Of course, it is possible Mayweather beats him anyway.

The thread was made because mayweather is not an ATG and but a HOF.
A true ATG does not retire at 30 and leaves unfinished business behind. him. He takes on all corners and eventually gets beaten. People are give too much credit to unbeaten records these days. All greats got beaten sooner or later because they fight the best over a long period of time.

Duran, Hearns, SRL, Chavez, Whitaker, Benitez... would have all beaten Mayweather.

Why? Did someone or any article said that Mayweather has an ATG status?

Funny how everyone you mention that would beat PBF all started their careers 4 weight classes above him.

    Fail.

I agree that he's overrated but your arguments suck.

someone made a very good thread about this not too long ago. Don't remember who, i don't think he posts very often.

Oscar started his career at 135 and fought as low as 130, the same weight Floyd started at.

Totally agree, . . . it is totally ridiculous that the original poster is complaining about the ref, considering the Tszyu fight. I think everyone agrees Hatton basically got his uncle to ref that fight, . . . no way in hell he would have got away with that **** if it was by a neutral ref.
