A Margarito vs Floyd, Cotto vs Floyd fight is irrelevant now, he should of fought them before! he retired, when the division was at its hottest.

 

He retired before the division was getting hot not in the midst of it.

Margo has always been irrelavant until he beat cotto but floyd was already retired then.

Cotto was still being groomed by bob and kept away from Floyd.

So again who should he have fought in or around his weight division while active.

Well as far as i know, at that time the division was being touted as THE strongest in Boxing.

Mayweather could of fought Cotto after he had his career best win (Judah), he chose to fight Hatton.

Yes it was a very strong division with williams shane cotto margo etc.

The thing is cotto was being kept away from floyd, bob knows his boxing to a certain degree and didnt want floyd to beat his cash cow.

It was ok for tony to beat it though because he is under top rank so his own vaklue increases not an outside oppoent if you catch my drift.

Hatton was an easier fight to get made and brought in alot more money at the time.

Bob and floyd dont get along so bob creates these fighters and claims floyd is dodging them.

I would not go as far as saying Floyd is the GOAT. But, he has arguably the most complete set of skills of all time.
