People were already debating who was #1 between Pac-PBF before PBF retired. Only thing that set PBF apart was when he emphatically beat Hatton.

p4p #1 is not a title you can pass around in the ring, its a ranking system based on achievements. Floyd retired, allowed Pac to rack up 2 great wins and overtook him, now Floyd has to play catch up.

There is no doubt whatsoever on who's #1 right now.

Pac has beaten Oscar and Hatton WAY more convincingly than Floyd did. AND PACS RECORD IS ANOTHER CLASS ABOVE MAYWEATHERS.

Mayweather was almost beaten by De La Hoya and most of the other fighters he's fought has been smaller guys. Mayweather is a cherrypicker and only picks fights he knows he can win.

Do yo think that his status can change based on his performance against JMM? For example, if he were have trouble with JMM, considering that JMM is the smaller man moving in weight, but still won the fight. Or Does his status only change if he looses to someone.
