Mayweather is the most feather fisted ATG since Willie Pep.

    At least at WW.
Hell even Pep starched a few now and then.

At 130 Floyd had solid power.
But not at 140 and above..let's look at his record .. some ko

    1) Gatti fight.. He drop Gatti with a cheap shot left hook.

He then hit Gatti with EVERY PUNCH IN THE BOOK, and never came close to Ko him outright. Buddy stop the fight because he was taken too many shots and couldn't catch Floyd.. Like a Chris Byrd ko.:D

the Hatton KO....Ricky was eating shots for 10 rounds, and finally RAN HEAD FIRST into a hook..AND STILL GOT UP...
if you run head first into a ANYTHING you should be out cold..

Ortiz fight...straight up cheap shot and Ortiz WAS NOT OUT COLD.
He was trying to get to his feet.

Floyd is a great boxing he just has pillow hands:deal

I thought about Whitaker, but he damn near killed that poor Cuban.
So he had power when he need it.

you have to look at his KO ratio....it was very low...pounding Hurtado into the canvas when he tired in the 11th round hardly constitutes him being about floyd in the power dept

floyd had a 70% ko ratio up until he moved to 147, since he;s had 9 fights, 3 at 154 and 6 at 147, with 2 ko's.. he just don't carry power at 147+ it wasn't that bad in the lower weights.

Ko ratio is misleading V. Klit has a higher ratio than Foreman I believe.

Does it even matter? This is just evident that power, when it comes to fighting isn't everything, especially if you don't have the skill or intellect to back it up.

"Holding off" isn't the objective in boxing.

This thread is stupid. Sorry LeftHandLead, but pointing out the blatantly obvious, while missing the point entirely is just sad.

Yeah, May is not packing the hammer of Thor. Get over it. He has enough power to keep fighters well above his ideal weight honest. Then, he boxes their f*cking ears off. He brings a knife to a gun fight and wins. All. The. Time.

Honestly, I respect him more because of his unfaltering faith in his skill. Not his power, not his speed. His skill. That makes him freaking impressive to me.

    Meh, different strokes I guess.

  15. Ottke is a ATG with less punching power.
