so he's better than robinson, armstrong, pep, louis, and mclarnin ? LOL i dont think so not to mention the dozens of others that are on these guys level if your so confident why dont you post this in the classic forum ? see how serious the serious fans take you
So essentially his best wins are against 2 guys he made move more then 2 weight classes above their natural weight. Another guy he made move up a weight class and 2lbs who was later exposed against another mover, a Glen Johnson who at this period in his career was still journeyman level and Antonio Tarver whos claim to fame is KOing a shot Roy Jones Jr? Perhaps you need to look at the reason why Hopkins was an underdog in some of these fights. Its because of his uneven performances throughout his career. For instance dropping 2 decisions to Jermain Taylor. His horrific fight against De La Hoya or in the case with Trinidad, a long unceremonious reign at middleweight. For Mayweather he gives an A performance everytime out. So you never get the feeling he is fading or slipping in his game. He's beaten the Welterweight champion twice. He beat the junior welterweight champ at welter, but if you look at Hattons fighting weight at 140, it would have been no different at 140. Meaningless. As Lampley said the judges and the majority of ringside observers had Mayweather winning. He proved beyond a shadow of a doubt in his 2nd fight. I'd place Carlos Baldomir who actually was a champion above 95% of Bernard Hopkins competition at middleweight. Which shows how poor his reign really was there. Farcical? Mayorga beat Forrest, Spinks beat Mayorga, Judah beat Spinks and Baldomir beat Judah. Whats so farcical about it? Mayweathers and Arguellos comp at 130 is virtually the same. mayweather defended 8 times beat 4 champions. ARguello defended 8 times beat 5 champions. At 135, Arguello had the longer reign, but Mayweather beat the better fighter then anyone ARguello faced in Castillo. At 140 I'd only rate Arguello above Mayweather based on his performance against a cheating Pryor which he probably would have won had not Pryor cheated, but still he never won a title there. And Mayweather became undisputed champ at 147 and lineal champ at 154. So again really, the arguments out the window.
You must mean top 5 greatest that you've seen. I'll give you these 5 guys-- Willie Pep Harry Greb Henry Armstrong Bob Fitzsimmons Ray Robinson Floyd is just barely ahead of RJJ imo, and they're both pretty far back.
these are the threads that the moderators should move and they should ban this dude for posting dumb threads
I didn't even take the time read this thread, can someone give me a small excerpt? Was this snafu as usual? I.e. Nallege and his swarm of clones quacking praise of their deity Chicken Joy Duckfeather?
