talent-wise, Floyd may be top 5 all time...but accomplishment wise he barely breaks the top 20...his biggest win is over a reasonably over the hill De La Hoya...not to mention his gift decision win against a average/good fighter in Castillo

This is really crap. Barrera was coming off a dominating win against Nassim and was on a winning streak when Pac beat him. Hatton was not past prime either he had one loss against PBF at a weight were he didn't look comfortable and went back to 140 where he absolutely decimated Malignaggi one of the top LWW at the time. Pac then proceeds to KO him inside 2 rounds. And if your saying Cotto was post prime what about Mosley he had one good showing against an unfocused marg and people treat him like the ****ing second coming. Mosley was a good win but clearly he had seen better days, I mean come on. Also 154 was not ODLH best weight it was simply the weight he was competing at at the time and he wasn't exactly in the best condition when they fought. Also Baldo wasn't that great I understand why Floyd fought him he was lineal but face it he was an OK boxer who had a lucky win against Zab. And we know Zab was good but lacked discipline so that hurt him. Lots of natural talent but not the work to pull off the greatness he could have. So yeah Mayweather has a good resume especially pre 140 with wins like Castillo and Corrales. This is similar to Pac who had most of his best wins pre 135. I personally put Pacs recorder better mainly because he has been continually fighting since 16. World champion at 19 and has remained up there since. Mayweather's first vacation really hurt him in that regard. As for top 5 that is just way over generous. I figuare top 40 or so.

Walcott is a good argument. and im assuming that your talking about jack johnson is to. thhose are my personal 2 favorite fighters atg! walcott had the great feet, head movement, and hand speed and power, not to mention alot of fights against ATGs and alot of fights period. and johnson was waaaay ahead of his time. but 100 fights has been long gone even the ali and SRL era didnt do that except JCC. but niether of those guys was better boxers or more dominant. leep in my mind that im sayig IF PBF goes undefeated for his career with wins over pacman and possibly martinez and/or pwill.

great argument! i dont agree but all valid points that we have to agree to disagree on. but im saying IF PBF beats pac and one or two more guys like pwill and/or martinez will he be top 5. not yet tho, i do believe he will do all that tho. do you think he will be top 5 if he does?

All time greats create excitement. All Mayweather creates is boredom. I'd rather watch Sunday Morning with Charles Kuralt.
