Lidocaine is not currently listed by the World Anti-Doping Agency as an illegal substance.[26] http://www.wada-ama.org/Documents/W...hibited-list/WADA_Prohibited_List_2010_EN.pdf Don't believe everything you read from the comfort of your computer screen.
That's true, but the NSAC prohibits the use of it within a week or two of the fight, and they do test for it. Of course, for it to help you during the fight, you'd have to inject yourself with it on fight night. Doing that would obviously result in the failing of the post fight urine test.
It should be banned. A substance that numbs your fist from pain is obviously a more dangerous weapon. And really....it is a DRUG that is ENHANCING floyd's PERFORMANCE.
In the emergency room we use lidocain injections prior to starting IVs because you won't feel a damn needle stab you in the arm. Now I don't think it should be illegal but it does raise an interesting point as to weather or not Mayweather's performance would be hindered without it? If it would than Its not better than steroids or peds
