    Remember this ****:

"I won't let boxing retire me, I'll retire from boxing" (after the Hatton fight). This is after Larry Merchant asked him about Miguel Cotto and the other top welters.

Floyd's just playing it safe , like he does in the ring. Chicken **** fraud.

He will fight a 'tune up' again because of inactivity which means another 'name' at Lightweight/LightWelter. Khan or some ****.

And just who is actually stepping up? Overall, this year has been a **** year for Boxing. Cotto has only fought once against a paper champ. Pac was in a joke of a fight against Clottey and is now yet in another catchweight farce against a guy who doesn't even have a license to work. Mosley is fighting a reality show boxer in Mora. Hopkins was in an even bigger joke of a fight than Pac was in. And let's not even discuss Paul Williams' fight against Cintron. Both guys are now nowhere to be found.

At least Mayweather stepped up to fight a true welterweight like everyone has been clamoring for. But if you're gonna **** on someone might as well **** on all of them because everyone else haven't exactly done much better.

His laziness will cost him at least $70 million if Pac loses to Marg.

Mayweather has been fighting only once or twice a year since 2006. I don't see why people expect this to change.
    His main motivation is money.
I'll believe that Pacquiao agreed to Olympic Style testing when presented with proof. Such as a copy of the contract. I think this is the major factor as to why they are not fighting in November, and might not fight at all I find it hard to believe that Pacquiao who did everything he could to avoide the random testing would now agree to them.
The other reason is the legal status of Roger Mayweather.
His father is an outstanding trainer as well, but who knows how much longr he can train for with his lung condition. Also Floyd has a great rapport with his uncle. Don't underestimate how important that is. If something happened to Freddy Roach (G-d forbid) and Pacquiao decided not to fight without him no one would have any right to blame him either.

Floyd should tell Pac he will fight him April/May next yr and sign to it. That would totally play on Pacs mind while he gets ready for Margo, which would be all good for Floyd. It also puts the boxing media at ease who want this fight badly.

What I don't understand is why people are taking sides one way or the other. I'm a boxing fan first and foremost and if/when they fight, like I said, I'll be rooting for Pac. But it's so easy to read between the lines.

Floyd will never put himself in a position of weakness or even admit to it. The Roger thing is an issue but do you think he'd admit it. He's had well-documented issues with the IRS and he barely even mentioned it.

If he never fights Pac, then you can say he's ducking him. The fight didn't happen in March and he ended up fighting Mosley, the consensus number one WW at the time. All because he got what he wanted: A massive split and forcing him to do OSDT. Now that he beat him, he has even more leverage for Pac.

Floyd is a business man. Do you honestly think if Floyd makes upwards of $50 million, he'd care about having a loss? A guy who said the most important thing in the world was his kids? Him having 0 losses aids him in his arguments about being the best ever, thus increasing buyrates and ticket sales, even if it's just to see him get KTFO.

I don't know if he is lazy, but I do think you are right that he only wants to fight once per year and on his terms. I also think the fight will get made next year.
