The 150 dollar tickets sold out after about 15 mins on ticketmaster, as we had to settle for the 300 dollar ones, then book our weeks holiday to Vegas flying in on the 15th but now it has cancelled, and we have payed more to go in July when we could've gone earlier and it's going to be hot as hell. Well disapointed as this would've been my first fight I've seen outside of the UK and by far the biggest fight that I have.

hmmm... Im starting to think theres more to this postponement than "injury". There's talks of Winky Wright now possibly joining the card in order to draw some more...

And? Pacquiao vs Diaz weren't even close to a sell out and that ppv buys were terrible. Hell if i remember correctly, Pacquiaio vs Hatton finally sold out a week before the fight happens so whats your point? Also ppv buys are more important then sold out cause if this fight is on ppv and doesn't do wells on ppv buys then it prove both Mayweather and Marquez are not good draws. Hell i'll give you an example, Jones vs Trinidad didn't do well on tickets sells but it did great on ppv buys in which both got a big bonus. Cotto vs Margarito didn't do well on of tickets sells but it did great on ppv buys.

Pacquio-Diaz was hardly considered a "mega event" as Floyd is describing this fight to be. That was also Pacquiao pre-DLH/Hatton...we all know both pac's & Floyd's popularity has risen dramatically since those fights...just look atheir ppv numbers before them or without them. Pac-Morales was pre DLH/Hatton and the attendance for livegate on that was record breaking.

I agree with you though, ticket sales & PPV sales are different...it attracts a different crowd.

What? You are comparing Pac/Diaz against a "mega" event in PBF/JMM? And IIRC, Pac/Hatton sold more than 12,000 tickets minutes after they announced the fight.

But still, more than a month after the announcement and only 3,000 tickets sold?

I guess you're unaware that Pac-Hatton didn't sell out until the week of the fight are you? The fight was still more than a month away with 24/7 coming up it would have sold out. People like you are so ****ing stupid you hate PBF so much and never got to see him beat in the ring so the best you can all do is hope to see him get beat at the box office...truly pathetic and desperate.:-(

Mayweather vs Marquez if anybody is a true boxing fans knows it's not a mega fight. But since Floyd and hbo keep saying it is then you have a point. But i have a feeling Mayweather vs Marquez will do very well on ppv buys more then ticket sells.
