Mayweather Jr. has a boring boxing style, how has he always been getting so many PPV buys?

When I watched Chavez vs Whitaker i saw a guy with cement shoes who couldn't make adjustments losing almost every round.

It's like when you're playing a fighting game and people complain because you're "doing the same move over and over". Why on Earth would Whitaker change his strategy (that was working) and slug it out with Chavez? It's the dumbest argument ever.

Billy Conn got greedy and tried to KO Louis after being ahead and that was all she wrote.

The post wasn't about Holmes, Jones, Lewis, etc. It was about Mayweather Jr.
And if those fighters fought guys the caliber of Conor McGregor and this internet boxing "Star" that's coming up, they still maybe undefeated.
The facts also are Marquez was a natural super featherweight, fact also was he had been in many wars and Clearly was on the downside of his career, fact also Pac and Marquez fought 4 times, they were both evenly matched, Pac got reckless and got koed in the very last fight. It Happens, The prior 3 fights are a much better indicator of how they matched up.
And again, the fact is the post was about Mayweather Jr.

He has captured the attention of the general public, and he did it with flashing money and materialistic crap. People like that like it and it also makes people tune in to watch him lose. He is a smart man though, he always had the skills, but at the supposed pinnacle of his LW career facing his biggest challenge in Diego Corrales, it attracted only flies to the MGM. He went out and found the dance partners to make him get noticed and it started with Gatti and then DLH. I dont think a 1/3 of the fans tune in to watch him showcase his boxing skills though, its more for the spectacle.

Mayweather was one of the first to take advantage of reality TV, also. He had those training camp shows and managed to get on Dancing With The Stars. He also took the May 5th and September spot, which each probably produced a five digit increase in percentage of buys compared to a random date.
