"If Manny Pacquiao really wanted the fight with me, all he's got to do is say it. We could pay Marquez some step-aside money. Pay him a million dollars, that's nothing. Step aside. Then, my man, me and you can make seven figures. Is you ready? Let me know."

    ...............................

"Everybody knows Pacquiao is not going to get 50-50 with Floyd Mayweather. Look at what Pacquiao made his last two fights and look at what I made my last two fights. It's still a business, even though it's a sport."

I want to hear what Divac can say to this statement coming from "the real #1 pound for pound" as claimed by his idol, JMM.

    interesting :think

i dont think either fighter is scared of each other or theyre opposition and it would make sense that floyd wouldnt wanna lose his multi million dollar payday with the pacman if he were to lose to cotto.

but still i highly doubt either fighter cancels. plus floyd had his chance at the pacman but ducked out for marq.

nope, mayweather just knows how to respect his opponents, although sometimes he is a *****. plus, why would he diss marquez? there is some mutual respect on these guys.

Is this another indication that PBF-JMM mismatch fight was not able to fool the fans and is not selling well?? ;)

    hmm says...
possible breach in contract with JMM... more drama... oh boy...
Deep down it seems like PBF wants Pac more than Pac wants PBF. Remember when Pac beat ODLH, PBF said he'ld "beat his (Pac's) ass"... now he's back and you know he wants that money fight.

This is like the 3rd time today Mayweather brought up Pacman.

Just goes to show who need who more.

He said he doesn't need pacquiao, but from this statement, it seemed he's desperate to have the pacquiao fight.

Seven figures? Is Floyd serious? For example, Floyd is already getting eight figures for the JMM fight and PAC already getting eight figures for the Hatton fight...

He is fighting Marquez purely to gain more leverage on a fight with Pacman.

Putting down his opponent will just rubbish his victory when he beats Marquez. Mayweather has plenty of bad things to say about Marqeuz - being knocked around the ring by Pac, beaten by Chris John etc etc

Marquez's motivation for this fight seems to be achievement as much as money; he wants to become the best P4P. So I don't think he'd just "step aside"
