Also my man,no disrespect but Al sharpton I wouldn't call to legislate my dead dogs funeral. He's no representative of me or any other black man with a brain. Also man I've seen more mean spiritness and racism in the last 10 years than I have since the 60's.

As talented as Floyd's is ... the guy so insecure

He chooses to play or is the villian and expects ppl to respect him like they do Pac who outside the ring does his all to help his ppl, his country, his fans.

It's a double edged sword Floyd, you can't have both. Ali was a trash talker but at least he backed it up and when he refused to fight in Vietnam at least he pro actively took action and backed his beliefs.

Floyd .. despite being all about money, says he is demanding this OSDT to clean the sport up ... has he even followed through? Has he actively done anything about it? Has he worked with the organizations to push this standard ? ...

The guy is all talk and there is nothing wrong with that, it sells fights ... but don't be surprised when the general boxing fans or ppl dislike u becos of this. Floyd chose this path and as a responsible role model (a pretty bad one at that) and adult he should accept the consequences of the choices he has made.

you are completely full of rancid ****. you come on here and complain about racism to your people while taking any opportunity to brag about some job that is so high up even the law cant protect it. and when this make believe story gives you the opportunity to actually do something about this racism youve been belly aching over, you say "****, ***** getting paid, let them burger king mother ****ers worry bout racism, whitey pays me enough to throw a few ***** jokes around".
you actually think everyone is stupid enough to fall for that weak ass hustle? theres some educated people on here too, they aint all *****s you know.
another ***** pretending to be something he is not, imagine that. let me guess, you were also a boxer before giving it up to conquer wall street.

This whole thread is full of idiots who don't have a ****ing clue. When PBF first came out from the Olympics he played the good guy role and couldn't draw flies despite putting on some of the best boxing clinics and performances of his era. Instead guys like Gatti and Oscar got all the big money and media hype. This pissed PBF off because he knew he was better than those guys but didn't get the attention or money. He seized his oppourtunity against Gatti and turned into the bad guy calling a media darling like Gatti a bum and then proceeded to give him one of the worst beat downs in boxing history in Gatti's adopted hometown. After this fight people started to hate on PBF and take notice and he got bigger and bigger paydays. You can say him playing the bad guy worked like a charm because he's been in some of the biggest money fights and PPV fights in history. Being the good guy with talent alone didn't work and hate it or love it PBF made the right decison in the end.:deal

Also PBF does get support form Blacks it might not being in droves like in the Joe Louis days but Blacks do support him and watch his fights at bars and fight parties. Again the support at fights in person might be what he's talking about. Blacks just aren't going to spend money on a sporting event as they would a Hip Hop or R&B concert.:yep It sucks but thats the way it is and he must even realize this.

This is how i understand it all went down. It's a shame that most of the world, especially the internet find Floyd to be a coward and a fraud when it is clear as day that he will be remembered as one of the greatest of all time. I tell people all the time, man watch in 20 years, they will be praising lil Floyd and the younger generations will aspire / study his every move. I used to be a Floyd hater ofc we are mexican, we loved Gatti and De La Hoya and Floyd just dominated them created a lot of hate but I love boxing with a passion like no other and now I love to watch nothing but Floyd, Marquez or Sweat Pea or old school fighters. Since studying Floyd, my whole perception of boxing changed, it really did and i'm glad that I caught on cause next time Floyd fights, ima be there live to see it. No chance am I missing out on greatness

Not even that. Where is Las Vegas? Where is the nearest large Black population?

The fact of the matter is that the largest Black populations are FAR away. I am sure if you just glance at a crowd at a FMJ fight you will see Blacks OVER represented as a slice of America. At the end of the day fight attendance is economics and location. Catching ONE fight of that magnitude is a multi-thousand dollar affair.

Unfortunately American racism has people always looking at the negative in concern to Blacks not the facts of the situation.

Seriously, what does Floyd actually want, to be loved? well why does he play the bad guy, is it because his defensive style wouldn't allow him to make the same kind of money, therefore he needs to play the villain? so what's he complaining about?

What Floyd wants, is to talk all kinds of ****, come across like an intolerable, petulant teenager, fight in a defensive orientated manner, and have majority of people root for him.

Dont matter what race you are, when you come across as intolerable as what Floyd does, its hard to root for that guy. It aint about race, its about taste, people dont like other people, black or white, who are up their own arse.

he also spells this out this approach to marketing in an interview before for one of his fights. im not sure if it was the diego corrales fight or the castillo fight but he basically says that america is built off two things, money and contrivesy and judgeing from the millions of post in boxing forms about these two he is right.
