Like SRL/Hagler, it's going to happen at the last possible minute. I've said it before, and the proof is in the pudding: Bob Arum is going to maximize his profits with Pacquiao before ever risking him in the ring against Mayweather. Arum has made a lot of money off of Pacquiao, and a "one fight with Mayweather" would have actually made him less money than the multiple fights he has put on since the failed negotiations of 2009/2010. From a business point of view, it makes perfect sense to me.

If it happens, it will be Manny's "final fight" for Bob Arum who will be looking to "cash out."

Does it matter how long his breaks are, considering when he comes back he starts off where he left? If more fighters can do this believe me they would, but most are not decipline enough to stay in shape to do so.

Here's a sensible reply:

Floyd is taking longer breaks because of his long-time injury in his hands. You know, the reason why he was injecting it LEGALLY IN THE STATE HE WAS FIGHTING AT with Xylo.
You can't punch when you don't have 'em hands fully healed, and as long as this is boxing, YOU NEED FULLY HEALED HANDS while training and of course on fight night itself.
We are all lucky he still insists on fighting even with this injury.

Pac took a year off because for crying out loud, those kinds of KO's would normally create a drug addict or at least a hopeless (or near hopeless) suicidally depressed Fatton out of everyone.
Dude wanted to rematch JMM immediately but thank God for Arum (yes yes I'm thanking him alright), Roach and Ariza for stopping that fatal move.
