Fair enough, but if you concede that there's no comparison then that makes it a lot harder for Mayweather to win the later rounds, or even avoid getting KO'd.

Pryor was a come-forward pressure fighter when it suited him best, which was most of the time. However, he demonstrated some really excellent boxing skills at times. I really just see him being too much.

I would agree re Pryor beating Mayweather .

    Prime Leonard easily beats Norris.

Do you think JimboDs could be Redrooster's son?

The Pryor that turned up for the Arguello fights ,just might have the manic style to neutralise PBF,s skills, there would be no time for posing in this one, think Ill take the Hawk.[Just what was in that "black bottle anyway]?

I don't know obviously, but he won the rematch. Arguello was a great, great fighter, but a focused and determined Pryor was too much for anyone at that weight.

People keep saying 'the Pryor that showed up for Arguello'. I know what you guys mean, but fore those that don't, he was like 35-0, 33 KO at that point. He was way too much for A LOT of people. Anyone who says Leonard didn't avoid him like the plague is just in denial.

That's true for the most part. However, it was pretty well-known that he moved up in weight to get away from Pryor.

I agree with the whole nostalgia thing. I still think Pryor outworks Mayweather and wins on points.

Historically though, Pryor is overrated, and Mayweather ranks higher all-time.

    Maybe as an amateur.

As a pro, Leonard fought at welter and above his whole career. Leonard fought a couple times in the lower 140s, but Pryor was mainly at lightweight and jr. welter.

Prime Pryor v PBF is not even an even bout, Aaron would shut Floyd out and make him quit, Floyd would not be able to compete with the kind of fighter that Pryor was.. True ATG v a future respected talent.. not in the same category........

130 Floyd is better p4p. I can agree with that. He's still never been in a real war and I wish it was something I'd get to see.

I don't think Pryor is overrated. In his prime and at his natural weight, who do you really think could beat him? A prime Duran is all that comes to mind for me.

i think u might be underestmating floyd a little bit.....new talent does emerge into atg status on occasion....floyd is more than likely gonna break the atg status

he fought fighters better than pryor and didnt fight him probably because the risk being greater than the reward....leonard in my opinion would have beaten pryor

I'm talking about all-time, historical ranking. That's where he gets overrated. I rank him pretty high in mythical matchups @ 140, but those are just that, mythical matchups which people just predict winners, and anyone can be wrong on predictions (which is why there are upsets).

He wasted a lot of his talent and his achievements don't warrant the high ranking he often gets.
