Don't get offended little guy, just shittin you.....As you may or may not know, Floyd pleaded for this fight to no avail...... I think similar to the Hatton fight, he knew the fight would generate International appeal, while at the same time knowing the fighter (Hamed, Hatton) aren't on his level.. That's why he calls it "easy work":good
Nah mate how old are you?,****ing hell guy calm down a bit,why call him a clown?,in his day a decade ago hamed was the man, till he ****ed up at the end,i personaly hated him,but you cant deny he was a great fighter early on.Look everyone its a fights of the newboys,FIGHT FIGHT FGHT
You just mark my words - wanker When Hamed sheds 200 pounds and this fight is made you are going to look silly
Hamed was in his prime when he was thoroughly whipped by Barrera. Mayweather is in a different class and can at least back up his arrogance with world class ringcraft. Hamed was very good at domestic and european level, but was found wanting when pitched in with a true world class fighter. Mayweather Jr would have destroyed him if the fight ever happened!!!!!!!!
But he was already a world champ by then,he had beating a lot of good guys pretty easily and in brutal styel,to me he took the barrera fight to lightly, god knows what he was thinking there, bit silly to say he was not world class
Wasn't Hamed different to most world champs in that he didn't try and get down to as small a weight as he possibly could? He moved up to featherweight to fight Steve Robinson while he was still looking very effective at super-bantam. Floyd would have been much the bigger man, given that he was having to starve himself to make the super-feather limit. I remember reading about it in the British magazine Boxing Monthly at the time. The editor had interviewed Barrera and he said how shocked he was by the size of him compared to Hamed. Frank Warren stated that in some parts of the world the boxers belive in fighting at a division way smaller then their natural size, whereas that isn't thae case in the UK. It could well be that Hamed was fighting much bigger men all through his featherweight career.
Hamed was certainly one in a kind. He was a great boxer and had an incredible style. However, he never fought anyone NEAR Mayweather's level, and the one time he fought a tough opponent, he got beaten. Barrera didn't allow Hamed to impose himself and dictate the terms of the fight, and this was something that Hamed had never experienced. When you watch the fight you can see that he's really confused about why his punches aren't landing and why he's getting hit so much. He wouldn't stand a chance against Mayweather.
THe fight never happened, the fight will never happen so no one knows what wouldve happened quite simple really, just because barrera beat hamed, dont automatically mean PBF wouldve beaten him, its not that simple. But simple is what many of you guys are in assuming that.
Hamed didn't do himself justice against Barrera, that was a 50-60% Hamed. A prime Hamed against Mayweather at 130 would have been an interesting fight....
yeah some people are slating hamed without due cause imo, the barrera fight was over before it began imo, ive never seen naz look so out of shape, and when his somersault over the ropes didnt happen you just knew he hadnt been training properly, naz spent the entire 12 rounds looking for a 1 punch ko against barrera and he did look like his heart wasnt in it, id say a 3 year earlier naz with all the hunger and dedication he ahd then would of been a better fight. Oh and in his prime against mayweather, who knows man i SERIOUSLY wouldnt of been suprised if naz ko'ed him before he knew what was going on. Dude had some seriously unorthadox punches that may of caught floyd cold.
