I'll ask this again. Who took the more brutal beating in their loss? Cotto or Hatton? Hatton was beaten no doubt about but it wasn't brutal sustained punishment like Cotto who was beaten more physically and more importantly more mentally beaten he gave up, his spirit was broken with the pride of a nation on his back. That takes a lot out of a fighter it's not easy to come back from. Who knows if he'll ever be the same? He could have been ruined as a top fighter we've seen it time and time again ask Vargas after his beating at the hands of Tito but the beating Margo gave Cotto was far worse IMO.

Hatton was never that competitive with Mayweather, whereas Cotto was arguably winning the fight until round 11. There can be clear adjustements made from Cotto's point of view to make a rematch different. He could clinch, stay off the ropes, and try harder to work to the body. What differences can be made for Hatton to be more competitive with Mayweather. You tell me?

Those changes won't make a difference. Margo is too big, too strong and too much for Cotto. While I agree Cotto should have clinched in the first fight but it's not in his makeup to do it. He can't hurt Margo and he doesn't have the ability to stick and move for 12 rounds his stamina will fail him and it's not his style but most importantly he doesn't have the chin. He can't stand up to Margo's attack for 12 rounds. I pick Margo by KO even sooner in the rematch.

Hatton can do a number of things differently first this fight if it takes place it will be in the UK where Hatton will be allowed to maul PBF to death. Second it will probably be at 140 where Hatton says he feels he's the best. Lastly Hatton has a new trainer Floyd Sr. who knows his son. He knows his tendincies. He has also worked to make Hatton better on defense and not as reckless. But only time will tell if he can really make Hatton over. Hatton looked good against Paulie.

Hatton almost had him until the second half of the fight?? What fight was I watching. I saw a bunch of swinging and missing and gassing from Hatton through the first six rounds and then absolute domination of Hatton in rounds 7-10.

If my memory serves me right, when PACMAN was still 126 or 130 punder loudmouth ******* GAYWEATHER JR. said he can take PACMAN any time of the day after any of his fights and it won't be a problem. Now that PACMAN is calling him out, where is this ****in' boy in a man's body? He can have his CLOWN DADDY with him in the ring with PACMAN and it won't be a problem, PACMAN's gonna annihilate them both! :hat

the future is looking great for hatton with potentially fights with pacquiao, marquez, diaz&even possibly mayweather, that'd be a great run of fights to go out on.

Its a pretty good fight against a borderline top10 P4P fighter

As a tune up, Floyd will have been out for 18months

This is fine - IF it's a tune-up. I'd rather he fought someone new though.
