Mayweather could take the fight at 160 and win it. This would be an amazing win.

What I d not want to see is him either fight Martinez will a slly catchweight limt or collect one of the paper titles at 160. It has to be Sergio and it has to be at the middleweight limit, he should go for it.

I would love to see Floyd fight Martinez at 160. The weight might be to much though. If Floyd can handle the weight then I believe he would beat Martinez.

Sergio doesn't have a middleweight title, unless you count that Rhinestone ****.

IT would be like Roy Jones winning a title at heavyweight.

Its going to be against someone obscure with a title.

I think you guys are forgetting Martinez still has to get through macklin first :D.

On a serious note though I don't see the need for floyd to go to middleweight. He's about to beat the top guy at 154 with ease but let's be serious 160 would be to much for floyd being 30 pounds over his prime weight. Also for the idiots talking about catch weights, floyds already ripped PAC for them so if you think he will just turn into the worlds biggest hypocrite overnight, your wrong

Would be like super-heavyweight for Jones if it existed. To be fair to PAC he has done 8 weight classes (despite catch weights and questionable opponents at times(much like mayweather)) thinking about it it's quite a big achievement but for may or pac to go to middleweight would be one step too far for both IMO

you think he beats tall solid punchers at middleweight?

floyd avoided pw, because floyd (since the oscar fight we know that) has problems with long strong jabs. you think he would have no problems with popping jabs from sturm or from much taller stronger andy lee..?

I say he doesnt make it @ midd., even @ 154 vs full grown light midd. fighters like dzinziruk, lara or williams, he would have a hard time, if say dont fight his fight and go at it.

I think his best chance is against strum. The majority of the other title fights at middleweight however would be whether mayweather gets a solid punch landed on him or not. He would take Lara at light middle (don't believe this hype) Williams is a tough fight just because of how awkward he is. Light-middle is the highest he should go though, no need to risk getting KTFO by Martinez and others.

yeah, he might beat sturm, but look at that french dude nkam, he basicly as athletic & fast as floyd, plus taller and stronger. than martinez, who is too much for anybody at that weight. even piroq would be tough for floyd, since this is a hard hitter who doesnt play around and comes at you 'jacobs style.

Floyd is a lot harder to hit than Sergio is. Mayweathers defence is a great equaliser IMO. Floyd can win that fight.

There comes a point where a fighter shouldnt jump up anymore. Floyd is at that point. He is not meant to be a middleweight. He would get stopped by Sergio an so would pac.

He'll wait a few more years for the current crop to ripen. They are too fresh at the moment.
