Floyd was already an ATG, I honestly think if he opened up he could have stopped Hatton in about 7. Ricky was no push over, a very good champion to say the least. This moves Floyd into my top 30-35 ATG ranking. Possibly even into the top 30.

What??? RJJ beat 3 ATG in McCallum, BHOP and Toney The latter two in their primes. And he moved up in weight more so than Floyd up to heavy.

I'd put Floyd above RJJ AND Whitaker. Hey, Floyd closed the show while Whitaker rarely could. That's huge in my book. Whitaker would have beat Hatton, but it would have been on points (shrugs).

As much as I like RJJ more, I do think PBF is a greater fighter if he beats one last guy.............Miguel Cotto and then I would even say top 5 ever.

McCallum was old, B-Hop was relatively green, and Toney was weight-drained.

great fighter still not all time great it was a great performance by floyd but it did little to boost him for me i always felt hatton was a little small for mayweather however clear out the division in which ther would be some truely tough style matchups cotto, margarito ,williams ,mosley then he could make the list an all time great couldn't leave all that glory in the ring if he can win

As much as I love Whittaker as a fighter, this fight has to put Floyd above him. I already thought he was a better fighter than Roy anyway. Not to say that RJJ is a slouch, it's just that even if PBF lost a step, he would still be very good, unlike Jones.

I can agree with you here. A good win over Cotto and a well timed retirement, goodness knows where he will end up ranked.

Dont' think so.Mayweather...on skill alone...was an ATG already coming into this fight...His resume tho'...Hatton included still does'nt hold up to even Sweet Pea IMO.Never mind SRL,Greb SRR etc...We know he'd never make it to the MW division...Size counts after all...we saw that tonite.

But the fact that he's undefeated in five weight classes...puts him in the top20 IMO...with or without Cotto. He'd never crack the top10 IMO...regardless if he beats Cotto,Williams etc...The other guys just had too deep resumes...

But as a fighting skill this guy is right up there.Great fight tonite.Hatton needs to go back to 140.He's got no business at WW.Cotto would have KHTFO earlier.

    Props to Floyd.Great clinic.
