    From Forbes -

    It also set a record for biggest live gate at $20 million (Mayweather-Maidana is expected to be Las Vegas' fourth largest live gate at $15 million).

    There was a story that the MGM Grand gave Mayweather a $400,000 watch for selling out this fight.

    He got a car for the last fight. He might have gotten a car and a watch for this one.

    Damn...

    Attendance means nothing. Revenue means everything.

    If you value attendance over revenue, then Golovkin is a minuscule and borderline irrelevant draw based on his whopping attendance of around 300 for his last fight against Adama... Why is that not fair? Because the prices for the tickets make up for the lack of people in attendance.

    Revenue = success

    All for a fight that has Maidana a 15/1 underdog.

    No, profit = success
    This is economics 101. Not suprised at all that a Floyd worshipper doesn't know basic entry level college knowledge

    I posted before that Floyd crowds are not boxing fans. They are event junkies, they want to boost about being at the big fight, Why do you think so many Celebrities go to his fights they aren't boxing fans mostly just want to be seen at the fights. These people are so dumb no matter who Mayweather fights they will buy tickets, most will be at the bar until the Mayweather fight they aren't boxing fans just corporate and celebrities wanting to show their face. Same with other sports they will go to the superbowl, NBA Playoffs ect any big sporting event attracts mostly these people.
