True to an extent, but you also gotta remember that attendance = business. If you got 300 people into MGM and generated more revenue in gate receipts than 20,000 people, that would still be 19,700 people lost who could otherwise be spending on the Casino or Vegas in general.

Sometimes when speaking casually on an online forum about boxing, not economics, "revenue" can factor in expenses and the total +/- profit or loss.

But take your little moment here and gloat as if I said something completely unacceptable that somehow diminishes my opinion.

By the way, you spelled "surprise" wrong. Should I think that you have no basic knowledge because you can't spell a basic word? Based on your critique of me, you think little of yourself right now for what in your opinion is such a colossal error, that's for sure.

For the MGM and the city of Vegas, absolutely.

For the fighters or promoters, it is up to the venue to determine what they value or want.

Beyond that, they are only trying to maximize capital.

What you say about the arenas being empty until the main event applies to every fight at a major venue in a major city, especially the higher stakes there are in said main event.

You ever been to a Mayweather fight?

Takes 40 minutes to get out of the MGM arena since everyone is packed in like minnows wandering out like penguins. All everyone is doing is talking hardcore boxing. And not trolling like everyone does over the internet on forums.

Besides, what you say doesn't even make sense when you acknowledge that 80% of the fans at his fights are there to see Mayweather lose. So they aren't "Floyd crowds." They are his opponents' crowds.
