The band/fighter doesn't but the promoters will. The UK Goverment will be getting there cut which will be significant. It may not directly be coming from his purse but the overall income from the fight would decrease. Its all about whether that amount is more or less than the extra revenue generated from the stadium. I think the fight makes more money in Vegas anyway.
Even at 3am in the morning i wouldn't be surprised if they could get 60,000 in on of the stadiums. This fight would be huge in UK and would love it to happen here. I might even que for ticket if i have to yet i just don't see it happening. Unless the government is willing to make an exemption which again i doubt. I can see why they would do it for football but not for boxing.
Certain countries would offer them a deal where they pay little or no tax. Ali & Foreman didn't pay tax in Zaire.
Mayweather needs to make some big fights in Africa, the home land. And whatever money, the venue makes will go to the surrounding area. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2R8cIF8bnA[/ame]
Would love it to happen over here, will it? Im not so sure. EDIT - After Mayweather beats Pacquiao obviously! :good
Of course it won't. Who the **** actually thought it might? It's absolutely definate it won't happen in England. I never entertained that notion for a second. It will be Vegas if it happens at all
the two names dont even deserve to be in the same sentance never mind the same ring....... big flying lunge from khan, check hook...... lights out.
