I don't remember that fight too much but I'm sure Above 140 Khan was hurt at least once, maybe in the 1st round too.

I think he would have given Floyd fits. Khan even looked slick at times vs Alexander, knowing when to lean away when Devon tried to fire back. Khan would step back and throw that lead right. That version of Khan was a big threat to Floyd. Alexander was a good fighter and Khan just systematically schooled him. How would Floyd had dealt with that relentless aggression, those endless lightning fast combos? Khan's work rate and tenacity vs Devon was incredible.

Because I don't feel like typing it out....................Khan wouldn't even have the remotest chance against Floyd. We can actually look back at both of their careers now............

Lead right hands and left hooks would have nullified Khans speedy combinations.

This stupid thread comes up from time to time. As night follows day Floyd would massacre Khan. Everyone knows it including Khan. Khan’s poor ring IQ would be on full display against Floyd who would go to town on him. Floyd beat better faster and quicker guys than Khan who were more talented.

Not faster or quicker guys. Khan would have been the quickest guy Floyd would have fought since Judah, and Khan is faster by foot and hand speed..

If by that you mean a thread along the lines of "Khan would have beat Mayweather for certain" type of thing, then that's not actually why I made the thread.

I made the thread with the thought that it was unlikely he would have, but at the time something (that I cannot be logically argue for) gave me a feeling that Khan would cause Mayweather problems (probably stupidity ;)) and that he would never fight Khan.

You could say "but Floyd couldn't fight everybody!" which is true, but why put up a poll and then not actually choose the winner of that poll?

Again, I'm not saying Floyd shat his pants over the the thought of fighting Khan or thought "F*** that I'd likely lose", just that I do believe something about Khan (which I suppose would be hand speed, it's not going to be his iron chin is it ) made Mayweather not feel right about fighting him.

The thread wasn't even supposed to be only about Khan/Mayweather, it was just an example I gave for myself to ask the question "Are there any fights where all the arguments logically point to boxer 'A' being the winner but you have a feeling without any actual logic that an upset is on the cards, and were you right or wrong?"

Hope that explains the purpose of the thread a bit better :)

The funniest thing about the idea that Floyd would "massacre" Khan is that Khan already beat Maidana, the guy who Floyd chose to fight. And Floyd struggled with Maidana. In fact most fans seem to think that Maidana was robbed against Floyd in their first match.

Floyd at that stage in his career couldn't hurt or stop anyone. He barely beat Maidana, arguably lost, but Khan the guy who beat Maidana would get "massacred"? There's nothing to indicate that Floyd had the power at that stage to hurt Khan. But we know due to his style that Khan would have a much better chance of winning a decision against Floyd than Maidana, who arguably beat him. That's why Floyd ducked Khan, because he thought he would have an easier time beating Maidana, a guy that lost to Khan. Face it, Floyd took the easier option of the two. Khan was all wrong for Floyd and he ducked him. Floyd chose to fight Maidana instead, and struggled a lot with Maidana. It's ridiculous to argue that Floyd would have massacred Khan when we know how easily Khan dominated Devon Alexander around that time, when we know that Khan beat Maidana, the guy that Floyd arguably lost to.

That was a shameful robbery. Khan clearly did enough to beat Peterson but was flat out robbed that night. Maybe Khan would have gotten the Floyd fight if he won that.
One judge had it 115-110 Khan, the other two had it 113-112 Peterson, what a joke. This is the definition of a shady hometown decision. Khan won that fight hands down. Then it turns out that Peterson failed a drug test on top of that.

It's robberies like this that are so blatant that it causes boxing fans to think every fight is a robbery, even fights that aren't. That's how bad this was.

I don't need time to craft a narrative lol you're blaming Maidana's loss to Khan on his trainer OK. Fact is Khan beat Maidana, Maidana went on to fight Floyd to a Majority decision that most fans thought Maidana should have won. Make that make sense, or make excuses.

And remember when Khan outboxed PEDerson only to get robbed in DC. That was the shadiest decision ever but you can't deny how great Khan looked that night. It's a damn shame.
