Mayweather can throw combination punches. He just chooses not to, which i find unbelievable seeing as when he does put combinations together he ****s up his opponent almost instantly.

You just have to go back and look at the ricky hatton fight, there is a few rounds when he starts to let go and just combo's hatton to pieces. It amazing to watch and is something he could easily do more of.

PBF threw almost 500 shots recently against JMM. His output isnt as low as people make it out to be. Floyd's opponents also consistently throw lower than their average against him due to his counter punching abilities. I think we will see the same happen from Pac who threw less against JMM than he did against other opponents.

Agreed. The only thing that frustrates me about May is he doesnt throw combinations like he used to in his youth.

Against Oscar, if he would have let his hands go he would have beaten Oscar just like Pac did, Oscar could block the one 2, but everytime Floyd threw that third punch Oscar was getting tagged.

Actually no, that might get him dropped. He has the PERFECT style to beat Manny. He is faster on his feet and smarter and knows how to move around the ring. He has a great jab and is the BEST at staying on the outside and Potshotting.

None have but if you were nitpicky and wanted to point out flaws in his style you could say he lacks a little power and he's not the busiest fighter around.

Keep in mind I picked him to win all but three rounds and think he's the best in the sport but there is not and has never been a perfect fighter.

Also, I could see him shutting out Manny completely and winning every round if he really decided to do it. I don't think Pac has any answers for Mayweather.

I hate that c*nt Floyd so damn much and I am praying for Manny to win.

However I just don't see how Manny can beat a naturally bigger, supremely skilled fighter like Mayweather. Mayweather is far more of a complete fighter than Cotto and wont get hit half as much. Manny has a punchers chance but I would bet money (pardon the pun) that Mayweather can effectively neutralize Manny's defense and cruise his way to a win.

Its like playing cards with the deck stacked against you.

Speed kills. Manny is fast but Floyd is faster. Floyd will stick and move his way to an easy unanimous decision, Manny will probably have a mouse under both eyes.

I agree with you that PBF will lose, but I don't think his low output is the reason. There are a number of ways to look at it, really. You can get away with pot-shotting if you are much faster than your opponent and can out-maneuver him movement-wise. Floyd isn't fast enough to do that. You can get away with pot-shotting if you're much stronger than your opponent, and only need to land a couple of big hooks in each exchange (e.g. Mosley) to win. Floyd isn't strong enough to do that. Etc.

The main thing Mayweather is lacking needed to beat Pacquaio is Pacquaio's signature on the contract

Absolutely not. Punching in combinations would work against a guy considerably slow than he is (ie Gatti) but not really against someone who is just as quick (or arguably quicker) where he could be put in a vulnerable spot.

People who argue for a Pacman win based on workrate simply miss the point. If Floyd were to beat Pac (and I imagine he would do so- easier than most people expect) he would do it by forcing Pac out of his element, maneuvering him to fight HIS fight, not by matching his punch output.

the one thing mayweather lacks is peds

and from watching mayweathers fights id say he is just as good a constant puncher as manny,,, if not better

manny just has more agression and works at a faster more exciting pace.....

mayweather will consistently hit you with good shots all night

I agree... with a defense first mentality it makes sense. The more punches you throw the more open you get, so it figures Floyd would counter punch instead.

I'm sure if he decides to go all out and brawl he can do that as well, although I wouldn't hold my breath. It probably won't happen in my life time. I think Floyd would rather clinch than risk an all out brawl.
