    Why? Davis has had 9 more fights than Loma so far.. No excuse not to fight him. They turned pro at the same time too. No reason not to make it other than to protect Davis' '0'...

    You would have more of a point if there was only one titlist per weightclass.

    This though is the problem with boxing the promoter gets to decide when they're ready so obviously they protect their investment.

    If boxing had a proper ranking system and 1 champ per weight class then that would decide when people are ready, not their age, promoter greed or "good" matchmaking

    Yeah I hear you. There used to be a proper ranking system in boxing but things have changed and everybody plays the hand they got.
