Sort of. His opponent had faster feet than you're accustomed to seeing. Bit of both but more the latter.
He didn't look slow at all. He looked acceptably mobile, sharp, quick, and simply pressed forward when it was advantageous to do so.
Had the right gameplan to win the fight, no need to be unsportsmanlike he was looking very good with what he showed us, I wish he would showcased his skills much longer, instead of taking a legal but cheap sucker punch against an opponent who you saw clearly trying to give you a hug... its sportmanship... he said Sorry man. I would agree if ortiz would not have been apologetic but come on you just invite more hate to boxing and yourself when you clearly were coming out on top and looking good in doing so
His timing was a little off thats about it. But Mayweather always starts off slow to feel out the fighter then he gets his attack going. Floyd is a hell of a lot braver than he gets credit for. He stays in the pocket and he was not concerned with Ortiz's power and was walking the bigger man down.
Tonight and against mosley I thought he looked slightly flat footed, I guess most of you don't agree.
I think he's changed his style against Ortiz and Mosley by standing his ground more. He's not living up to the Mayrunner nickname that so many of his haters use to call him. Floyd is extremely entertaining to watch when he fights like he did tonight. The thing is, he's not a stupid fighter. He ain't going to approach any opponent by eating shots. He fights a smart gameplan against every opponent and it's effective. Can't really knock 42-0 26 KOs.
