He had just beaten, Oscar De La Hoya, the biggest draw and PPV King of boxing. Floyd Mayweather Jr. has done it, he supplanted the top draw, most popular, and celebrated fighter in boxing. The Mayweather/De La Hoya fight became the biggest PPV event in history. It sold 2.4 million PPV buys, breaking the old record in a rematch between Evander Holyfield and Mike Tyson in 1997 of 1.99 million. The fight with Oscar gave Mayweather the exposure he needed to become boxings next superstar. He was the reigning P4P King and he just fought in the biggest PPV event ever. Mayweather started to flex his new found economic muscle. Oscar immediately challenged Mayweather for a rematch. Mayweather accepted, but only if his monetary demands were met. This content is protected Having beaten Oscar by only a split decision, Mayweather did what was going to be his calling card; accept no risk and fight only opponents where he had as many advantage as possible be it in age, size, strength, power, or technical skills. Take no risk. After beating Hatton by TKO in the 10th round, Floyd was now going to implement Plan B. Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard used the ploy successfully. This content is protected . Thanks for typing in green and white...at first i thought this was going to be a hard read but once i saw the green and white, I knew this was going to be a good read...
Pretty good recollection. You forgot that the Mayweather's started degrading Pac even before the steroid allegations. While Mayweather was retired he was slagging off Pac for his losses and the Marquez fights in virtually every interview and discrediting his win over Hatton, claiming Hatton was ruined after he(Mayweather) beat him. It's evident even back then Mayweather's intention was to try and beat Pac through the media with cheap tactics, instead of trying to do it in the ring. Too bad for them legacies are sealed in the ring.

just wondering.... how come all betting oddsmakers have mayweather as a favourite against pacquiao if the fight were to take place?
Sixto Brillantes Jr. took his oath as chair of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) Sunday after overcoming objections from former Sen. Mar Roxas that his appointment would favor the latters potential opponents in the 2016 presidential elections.
Because oddsmakers are following common boxing logic which states that stylistically, Floyd beats Pac. They haven't learned their lessons. When it comes to Manny Pacquiao, common boxing logic DOES NOT APPLY.
#13 has pacquiao as his avatar. obviously biased. also, pacman has been the favourite in alot of his last fights. sometimes lopsided odds, made by those same oddsmakers that list him as underdog in a mayweather fight these guys make millions and live off the odds they make... im sure its safe to say they know more than you. your answer isnt too good... but lets discuss this in the thread i made
