Some people's logic: Bayless allowed Floyd to fight his fight, therefore he was paid off.

    Soooo...

Weeks allowed Maidana to fight his fight in the first fight, so does that mean Maidana paid Weeks off? Or does that only apply to Floyd?

Come on man try not to be biased. You're normally not but this is a biased post.

Bayless took away the only way Maidana had a chance of winning and that was to work on the ropes. It was clear that Bayless was asked to make sure this happened. I like Bayless too but he really disapointed me. No warnings for all of the holding Floyd was doing either.

Weeks let both of themm work. Just try not to pay too much attention to other posters who have an agenda against Mayweather. I dont like Floyd but I am a very unbiased person, or atleast try to be.

I'm not biased either. I think Weeks actually did better than Bayless, and I like Bayless too. I just didn't post that opinion. If you could combine Bayless' and Weeks' refereeing, you'd have a good ref. One interfered too much, the other didn't interfere at all. I'm just pointing out the double standards, not a biased thread at all since it does not reflect my feelings on the matter.

i thought weeks did a **** job allowing maidana to foul the whole fight with hardly any warning. bayless is supposed to break up clinches. when maidana had floyd pinned to the ropes he still didn't land ****...same as the first fight. some ppl are never satisfied.

Ok my bad. You're right, you never did say what u thought about it. But just understand who to look at when someone states their opinion. The amount of good posters has damn near disappeared. I pretty much just see what u and Scar have to say nowadays.

He did tell Floyd to stop holding twice. He should have given a strong warning and threatened to take a point though. Don't think he was paid off, but also didn't want to bite the hand that fed him...

Your all in such denial if you really think that Floyd fights are on the up and up.

He might not be paid off but he tried to help Void in any possible way. Maybe it is just his nature - to serve the money. It is a common behavior among some people. They follow the money/power. It is just their mindset. To serve the powerful people harming the innocent ones. Sick world we live in.

Bayless refs that way in every fight, regardless of who's fighting.

And, no, he does not do that in every fight he is officiating. Don't try to justify the corruption. He was particully helpful in this specific fight.

i understand breaking up a clinch but he is supposed to let the fighters fight out of the clinch especially when a fighter has a free hand, not immediately jump in as soon as a fighter grabs his opponent. has anyone counted how many times floyd clinched and the average amount of seconds that passed by before bayless jumps in, now that would be interesting.

    Totally wrong idiot.......

Tony Weekes called it straight down the middle he allowed BOTH fighters to fight their fight. Floyd isn't used to an honest referee though is he. He expected Weekes to do a Cortez on Maidana & stop him from fighting his fight. Weekes didn't he's honest. So Floyd hires Kenny Bayless to protect him & stop Maidana " Roughing him up & bullying him" Poor wittle Floyd :|:|
Kenny Bayless replaced Joe Cortez. It showed in the opening seconds of the fight when Maidan advanced on Floyd Bayless was in shouting BREAK BEFORE they even came into contact. Its a shame that Kenny Bayless puts a pay check before his reputation as an honest official he was blatantly corrupt in that fight. The icing on the cake came when he took a point from Maidana for the elbow in the face something he let Floyd get away with a myriad of times. In my opinion Bayless should be fired.. With all this corruption The sport I love SUX!!!!!!!!!!!
