I don't give a **** what his PPV numbers were, but to suggest that he's anywhere close to being irrelevant is just asinine. Just have a look at the first page of this forum on any given day. Even if you subtract the threads created by his nuthuggers, there are typically more threads made about him than anyone else by far.

Why do people talk about Mayweather's money?

Are you getting a cut out of it?

The fool would cut ties with his father and Ellerbe over the Pac match and you are riding his ass like $2 whores.

Well said. This is one of the reasons why UFC is growing (and an aspect in which i prefer to boxing) where the best fight the best but they stay in their weight class. If you dont make weight then tough sh*t, it doesn't matter who you are everyone is fighting under one banner and being put up against the best. No tune ups or cherry picking. The guys are picked out for you. The best in the division. Boxing doens't have that because they are trying to make money the hard way by investing into multiple people with big egos rather than the ones who have earn't it.

Stopped reading there. UFC is not growing. Anybody who has a clue knows that UFC has been on the decline for some time now. Their PPV buys are way down and most of their biggest names are now gone from the sport.

Its called a turnover mate. Kinda like what boxing is having the start of right now. Its major stars are getting older and the weakest stars fade out first (Sergio Martinez, Nonito Donaire) Soon it will be the big stars dropping.

UFC are very successful. However you look at their numbers (which Floyd has now got everyone giving a backbone in arguments) they have the right system for main event cards. They understand what people want to see. Packed undercards in the main events with one true champion in each division. They have got it right. How you can argue against that must be out of sheer ignorance and boredom.

Na thats not true. MMA was growing at a really impressive rate at one point and now its pretty much flat lined. Its all down hill from here.

You know you're ****ed if your most famous fighter is a woman :rofl

MMA is what I've always said it is. Its a fad and its all but out of style now.

I don't watch UFC regularly anymore, however their business model is good.and they are steering off from the PPV model.putting more shows, and most importantly it's on regular tv,without ridiculous PPV prices.

I think they will be okay in long run,and the system is way better than in boxing.less weighclasses and top fighters regularly competing against eachothers.rarely we see that champion can handpick opponent for himself, usually it's number 1 contender.

I hope boxing will find soon new model, and sadly the boxers and promoters are steering this sport in wrong direction.

If i'm correct.MMA is pulling samekind of numbers to boxing.in PPV'S and in regular tv.if we don't include Floyd and Manny.

And i think it's very alarming.this UFC has been little bit over 20years and it's already almost as big as boxing.

And people like Floyd will steer more audience towards MMA/UFC with his antics,in long run.

I could be of course wrong with my fears, but i think quite many will agree that something needs to change in boxing.people are fed up of waiting best competing against eachothers.

Boxing is too much corrupt and politics and business competition.first think we need is to get rid of the sanctioning bodies.1champion in weighclass, would in my opinion change thinks drastically.

In MMA everybody thinks Bellator etc.. All are farmleagues and UFC champion is the best,in boxing it's almost every ****ing time opinions which champion you prefer the most.and they are in no need to fight against eachothers and risk their titles.and also if we have strong belt holder, everybody can duck him and try to get a fight against lesser champion.but still can brag hi is boxing champion of the world.

It's like the situation in MW right now.where we have Golovkin,Cotto and Taylor, and every hardcore fan knows, who is the real champion.however to casuals, promoters etc.. Could spew **** that Cotto former WW is king in MW.and Taylor nexr defence is labelled as a championsip fight.that sounds truly hilarious.and sadly many people would believe those are the real deals.

And there are many contenders who drools over the idea to get fight against Cotto or Taylor.but not against GGG.because it doesn't matter.they still could claim themselfs as champions
