exactly. even most Mayweather fans were saying Maidana blew his load from the first half of the fight and seems like they agree that those were mostly Maidana's rounds. But now they have to change their tune to adjust to clemens and moretti's scoring.
Exactly. If you go back to straight after the fight, the *****s straight out admitted that Floyd took a while to get going and lost atleast 4-6 of the first 6 rounds! Now that people arent fresh to the fight, they say they were "swing" rounds. Dare i ask it. The real question now is, who is worse in denial? *****'s or *******s. I think both are as bad as each other :-(
the right man won at the end of the day. I had it 115-113 the first time around. and 116-112 the second time. Good fight. But unless you're being extremely bias for Chino, you can't score it for him. Floyd pretty much won most rounds after the 6th. And I had him winning round 2 and 4.
Did Burt Clemens and Dave Moretti write 10s and 9s randomly on a piece of paper? How in the world did both of them give ALL three of rounds 2,3,4 to Mayweather?
I agree. Partially. I had Floyd winning also. But you say: "Good fight. But unless you're being extremely bias for Chino, you can't score it for him. Floyd pretty much won most rounds after the 6th. " That creates reasonable doubt among some. As you even stated Floyd pretty much won most rounds after the 6th, just like some said Maidana won the first 6 rounds. There is doubt. On both ends. I don't agree with them, however, i can see how they believe he won the fight.
Having Floyd up 6-2 after the 8th round should be grounds for having your drivers license taken away.:nut Absolutely horrid scoring. Disgraceful. Said it before, and will say it again: After the dust settles and people review and go over this fight in detail the consensus will swing towards a Maidana win.
Of the 7 rounds the judges unanimously agreed upon: -5 rounds to Mayweather: 2, 6, 7, 9, and 10. -2 rounds to Maidana: 1 and 5. I thought 11 and 12 were both clear cut Mayweather rounds, too.
Just finished watching the fight for the first time as I did'nt catch the PPV, I scored it 115-113 for Mayweather, 7-5 in rounds. Rounds 1,3,4,5,and 8 for Maidana. Rounds 2,6,7,9,10,11,and 12 for Mayweather. Maidana really deserves alot of credit. I honestly did'nt think he had it in him to fight Mayweather this close, but the fact that he loops his punches over the top and really focused on banging Mayweather's body really made it a competive fight. Even though I had Mayweather winning in rounds, I thought Maidana looked the more comfortable fighter in the ring while Mayweather especially in the first half of the fight really looked uncomfortable to me. Certainly the best performance against Mayweather since the first Castillo fight.
I thought Mayweather won 11 and 12 also, but the two judges that scored it for Mayweather really botched the early rounds, those rounds were clearly Maidana rounds imo as I count body punches.
VERY close fight. No doubt Maidana won the totality of the first 6, Mayweather the totality of the second 6. Watching it live without carefully scoring it my impression was narrow win for Mayweather. On my first rewatch on a crappy, choppy flash upload I had it 6-6. I still think the easy rounds to score fell more to Mayweather than Chino. More viewing warranted. The 117 - 111 card is hard for me to swallow. Didn't feel like a 9 - 3 fight at all.
No, the don't. I can see how they gave Floyd rounds 2-4. Maidana gave it a lot of effort, but hit a lot of air. Floyd landed cleaner shots. People just think that the 'working guy' deserves the round, but that's not how it works. If you don't agree, maybe you should watch amateur fights, where they don't score the rounds but only the 'clean landing shots'. If it was an amateur fight, Floyd would take it easy.
